Cyngn signs contract to provide its tugger to another automotive supplier

Cyngn says it will be installing its DriveMod Tugger at a “global Fortune 500 automotive supplier”. The company says this milestone highlights its “growing proven ability to meet the unique demands of the automotive manufacturing industry and deliver innovative autonomous vehicle solutions”. 

The automotive supplier company – whose name is withheld for confidentiality – intends to integrate DriveMod Tuggers to automate the transfer of finished goods.

Cyngn’s solutions continue to provide value within the sector, with this announcement building on the company’s prior commercial contract with a separate, major manufacturer in the automotive service equipment space and a letter of intent that was signed in Q4. Cyngn reaches agreement to sell ‘multiple’ DriveMod Tuggers to major automotive supplier

Cyngn says it has received a signed Letter of Intent (LOI) from “a major automotive supplier to sell and deploy multiple DriveMod Tuggers in early 2025”.

This achievement demonstrates Cyngn’s continued traction with its Enterprise Autonomy Suite automation solutions for heavy manufacturing industries. Just last week, Cyngn announced a new contract with a different automotive manufacturing customer.

The automotive supplier – who remains unnamed due to confidentiality – will utilize the DriveMod Tuggers to streamline intra-facility logistics. Programmable logic controllers, or PLCs, can survive for more than 20 years, and it’s something we see regularly here at Foxmere.

Although the component parts of a PLC, such as central processing units (CPUs) and power supply units (PSUs), boast long lifespans, components such as input/output (I/O) modules and communication modules are not so robust.

T.I.E. Industrial purchases Robots.com and Robotworx brands

T.I.E. Industrial, an aftermarket supplier of CNC parts, refurbished industrial robots and general automation repair, has acquired Robots.com and the RobotWorx name.

The asset acquisition expands the T.I.E. brand family, leveraging decades of experience in robotic equipment sales, repair and service to position Robots.com as an end-to-end partner in manufacturing automation.

T.I.E. Industrial did not buy the company but the remaining assets of the website Robots.com and the RobotWorx name. Walmart makes Brain Corp ‘the world’s largest supplier of inventory scanning robots’

Sam’s Club, a membership warehouse club and a division of Walmart, has completed a national, chain-wide rollout of “Inventory Scan” towers that have been added to its existing fleet of robotic scrubbers in partnership with Brain Corp, a provider of artificial intelligence for robots.

In doing so, Walmart has made Brain Corp “the world’s largest supplier of inventory scanning robots”, according to the company.
