9 Signs Your HVAC System Needs Attention

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) provides the indoor environment with the required thermal comfort throughout the year. But just like anything else, they need ongoing nurturance to really work well.

Overlooking precautionary signs may prevent the adverse experience of costly, unanticipated breakdowns. Understanding that something needs attention before it gets uncomfortable and expensive allows us to take action. Here are nine signs that an HVAC system needs immediate attention. How Regular Crane Load Testing Prevents Workplace Accidents in Heavy Industry

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

Modern heavy industry relies on the seamless operation of overhead lifting systems to maintain the high-speed production cycles demanded by today’s markets. As automation increases the frequency and intensity of load cycles, the margin for mechanical error narrows significantly.

Even the most advanced robotics cannot compensate for structural fatigue or a failing hoist brake. Ensuring these machines withstand extreme stress requires more than routine maintenance; it necessitates rigorous, physical proof of capacity.

This article explores the vital role of regular load testing in identifying hidden vulnerabilities and preventing catastrophic failures in high-pressure industrial environments. [Read more…] about How Regular Crane Load Testing Prevents Workplace Accidents in Heavy Industry

Predictive Maintenance Robotics: How AI and Automation Are Redefining Industrial Asset Reliability

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

Predictive maintenance robotics is transforming how industrial organisations manage automation environments, moving beyond reactive maintenance and fixed schedules toward intelligent, data-driven maintenance strategies.

Instead of waiting for equipment failures or relying solely on manual inspections, organisations are deploying machine learning, artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to optimise maintenance scheduling and reduce costly downtime.

In many industrial facilities, robotic diagnostics are now aligned with structured systems such as velappity’s hvac preventive maintenance software to ensure predictive maintenance processes integrate with enterprise asset management frameworks across different locations. Software Development AI Robotics: Engineering Intelligent Machines for the Real World

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

Software development AI robotics is transforming how intelligent machines operate across the physical world. From warehouse automation and industrial robots to humanoid robots designed for human interaction, modern robotics blends artificial intelligence, embedded systems and advanced software engineering to create intelligent systems that can perceive, decide and act.

As robotics projects grow more complex, structured software development becomes critical. Many organisations building AI and robotics platforms look to approaches followed by custom software companies like pulsion when aligning intelligent machines with recognised ISO standards and secure development frameworks.

Applying good practice in software engineering ensures robotics systems remain safe, scalable and reliable under real world conditions. [Read more…] about Software Development AI Robotics: Engineering Intelligent Machines for the Real World

How to Compare Car Insurance Prices and Avoid Overpaying

February 26, 2026 by David Edwards

Car insurance prices can vary widely even when policies appear similar at first glance, which is why a quick comparison often misses the real cost. A lower premium is not always the better deal if the cover is narrower or the payout basis is less suitable.

The sections below explain how to compare prices properly, assess factors that affect premiums, and avoid paying more than necessary for the protection you selected. [Read more…] about How to Compare Car Insurance Prices and Avoid Overpaying

Deep Space Energy raises almost €1 million to generate electricity on the moon like it was normal

February 21, 2026 by David Edwards

Latvian startup Deep Space Energy has closed its pre-seed round by raising €350,000, led by Outlast Fund and Linas Sargautis, an angel investor and a former co-founder of NanoAvionics.

The company also secured additional €580,000 in public contracts and grants by the European Space Agency (ESA), Nato Diana, and the Latvian government.

The funding will primarily be used to further develop a novel radioisotopic generator toward commercialisation, in a bid to strengthen the European sovereign space and defence industry and power Moon surface exploration. Tekniker unveils robotic metrology system combining collaborative robots and digital measurement at BIEMH 2026

February 21, 2026 by David Edwards

The combination of collaborative robotics and in-process digital metrology represents a strategic convergence for the manufacturing industry and factories of the future.

On the one hand, collaborative robots make it possible to automate handling and assembly tasks flexibly and safely without the need for physical barriers and, on the other hand, digital metrology integrated into the process means that components can be measured and checked directly in the production line with high precision.

In this context, Spain’s Tekniker technology centre, member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) partnership, with extensive expertise in this set of technologies, will present a solution that brings together automation, high-precision measurement and digitalisation in industrial environments at the next edition of the Biennial International Machine Tool Exhibition (BIEMH).
