Danobat launches ‘most precise robot on the market’

March 3, 2025 by Mark Allinson

The machine tool manufacturer Danobat has entered the industrial robotics sector with the launch of the DMTR range, a development which the company says “redefines industry standards”.

Danobat says the new machine – which it describes as the ‘most precise robot on the market” – sets a new benchmark in accuracy and efficiency, combining the flexibility of a robot with the stability and precision of a machine tool.

The DMTR range achieves three times the pose accuracy compared to other solutions, and obtains exceptional levels of pose repeatability in critical operations such as drilling, riveting and tapping. [Read more…] about Danobat launches ‘most precise robot on the market’

How AI is Transforming Diagnostics for Faster and Precise Healthcare Solutions

September 26, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Today, the field of healthcare is facing many changes. Finding ways to increase patient satisfaction is a priority, and new trends, such as AI and robotics, have taken over.

In the same way that automation systems have impacted production and supply chains, they are now enhancing medical diagnosis.

Think about robotic appendages helping medical personnel interpret X-rays or an AI program scanning the vast amount of data to find disease trends. [Read more…] about How AI is Transforming Diagnostics for Faster and Precise Healthcare Solutions

Civ Robotics shows how to improve pre-construction surveying efficiency by using robots and precision positioning

March 30, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Managing a construction project from planning stage to execution in the real world is replete with challenges. Whether a company is building a sprawling solar farm or laying lines on the road, precision is paramount. Errors of just a few inches can have massive implications that can lead to critical delays and cost overruns.

In this new case study, Civ Robotics explains how Point One’s Polaris RTK precision technology has been instrumental in lowering their operating costs and streamlining processes for many of its high-precision layout projects.

Land surveying is a critical stage in the construction layout process, during which workers use various forms of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) to mark specific locations for builders. Because this process demands a high degree of precision, all GNSS readings must be validated and corrected to ensure accuracy, sometimes within even a few centimeters. Drives for speed in intralogistics: Faulhaber explains the importance of drive systems in warehouse robots

May 20, 2023 by David Edwards

Competitive intralogistics requires extensive automation, something that is inconceivable without micromotors. Drive systems from Faulhaber are used for their ability to perform during sorting, transporting and with robotics solutions.

Suitable transport structures in intralogistics are a prerequisite in all industries in order to be able to withstand competitive pressure in the future.

An increasing number of work steps involved in storing items in warehouses as well as retrieving these items and preparing them for dispatch are being taken over by automatic storage and retrieval machines, driverless transport systems and intelligent logistics robots.
