PepsiCo automates its first warehouse in Poland with Mecalux

The intralogistics group Mecaluxhas installed PepsiCo’s first automated warehouse in Poland. The leading global food and beverage company has operated along the Vistula River since the 1970s, opening its first factory in Michrów in 1991.

With 9,000 locations for finished goods, this space is part of the Środa Śląska factory. The plant – the multinational’s most sustainable in Europe – is responsible for distributing thousands of pallets of potatoes daily.

Automaticon organisers expect visitors from more countries than ever

Organisers of the upcoming Automaticon event are expecting more visitors from more countries than ever before. 

The Polish trade show takes place on 17-19 of March in Warsaw. The “International Fair for Industrial Automation Automaticon”, to give the event its full name, is the main fair for automation, control, measurements and robotics in Poland.

ThyssenKrupp to invest over €70 million in European warehouses

ThyssenKrupp’s material handling division is to invest more than €70 million in its European warehousing and logistics network.

The company – which claims to be “the western world’s biggest materials distributor” – says automation and digitalization will “significantly boost productivity”.

ThyssenKrupp Materials Services, the distribution and service provider of the ThyssenKrupp Group, says the €70 million investment in the modernization and expansion will include a state-of-the-art logistics center and new warehouses in Germany, Poland and Hungary. Emerson inaugurates Polish manufacturing facility

Industrial automation company Emerson has inaugurated a new facility on its Polish site.

The new part of the Emerson facility produces Asco valves, and was inaugurated on in Lodz, Poland by Emerson CEO David Farr.

Hannover Messe: And Polska has won it!

Poland is this year’s partner country for Hannover Messe, the world’s most influential industrial trade show. 

Last year’s partner country was USA, and President Barack Obama was the guest of honour. The year before that, it was India, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, welcomed as usual by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
