Photoneo claims ‘breakthrough’ solution to automotive bottleneck with in-motion bag rack picking

Photoneo, now part of Zebra Technologies, is set to unveil what it describes as “a groundbreaking robotic solution” that directly tackles a long-standing challenge in automotive manufacturing: the automated picking of delicate parts from densely packed bag racks.

The company says attendees at Automate Show 2025 (booth #641) will witness the industry’s first live demonstration of In-Motion Hand-Eye Bag Rack Picking.

Zebra Technologies buys Photoneo business from Brightpick

Photoneo Brightpick, a provider of 3D vision and AI robotics solutions, has closed the sale of Photoneo to Zebra Technologies, a specialist in digitizing and automating warehouse workflows.

Photoneo, the former sister company of Brightpick under the Photoneo Brightpick Group umbrella, is a provider of robotic vision sensors and intelligence software.

Photoneo Brightpick raises additional $19 million to complete $40 million in Series B funding

Photoneo Brightpick Group, the parent company of Photoneo, a provider of robotic vision sensors and intelligence software, and Brightpick, a provider of warehouse automation solutions for ecommerce and grocery order fulfillment, has raised an additional $19 million to complete a $40 million Series B.

Taiwania Capital led this most recent round, which also included follow-on investments by prior Series B lead investors IPM Group and Alpha Intelligence Capital.

Additional investors in this round include H&D Asset Management, Venture to Future Fund and Kolowrat Group. This round brings the company’s total capital raised since inception to $53 million. Supply chain robotics developer Photoneo raises $21 million in Series B funding

Photoneo, a developer of robotics for warehouse tasks, has raised $21 million in new funding.

The new funding was from AI Capital, IPM Group, Earlybird, Venture to Future Fund, and Credo Ventures as well as all investors who participated in previous investment rounds.
