How manufacturers can go wireless to unleash unlimited possibilities

March 30, 2022 by David Edwards

By Oliver Wang, product marketing manager, edge connectivity and computing, Moxa

Where it’s difficult to hardwire industrial operations to ensure time to market, industrial wireless LANs (WLANs) provide an ideal alternative to traditional wired Ethernet LANs.

Indeed, recent advances in wireless technology have contributed to industrial WLANs becoming commonplace solutions in automotive plants, warehouses, and transportation systems, among others, where automated equipment is required that is constantly moving or difficult to wire.

Industrial WLANs enable these types of systems to be connected for enhanced operational efficiency. [Read more…] about How manufacturers can go wireless to unleash unlimited possibilities

4 Ways to Reduce Laser Cutting Costs

February 15, 2022 by David Edwards

Many industrial companies, particularly those in the fabrication and machining sectors, require laser cutting for their projects and services.

Essentially, laser cutting refers to the process of using a laser beam to pierce the material and melt it in an exact line to ensure a clean output. It has been a popular method in the industrial setting because it produces no edge effects after cutting.

Due to its ability to cut materials with precision, manufacturers and other businesses can carry out a high volume of jobs more efficiently. However, it’s essential to know that laser cutting can be expensive.

The continuous use of laser cutting can be unsustainable for many companies and organizations. [Read more…] about 4 Ways to Reduce Laser Cutting Costs
