OnRobot unveils ‘highest-payload’ vacuum gripper

OnRobot, a provider of hardware and software solutions for collaborative applications, has released its new VGP30 vacuum gripper.

This powerful and robust 30 kg (66 lbs.) payload gripper is designed to excel at palletizing boxes and handling irregular shapes and porous surfaces, even those constructed from cost-saving, thinner cardboard.

Indian industrial giant Tata partners with MassRobotics to accelerate innovation in robotics

Tata Consultancy Services, one of the world’s largest IT services, consulting, and business solutions providers, has agreed a ​​​collaborative engagement​ with MassRobotics, the largest independent robotics hub in the world dedicated to advancing robotics and connected devices.

Through this collaboration, ​TCS aims to support MassRobotics’ mission to foster robotics innovation by engaging with startups, researchers, and industry leaders exploring applications focused on sectors such as retail, travel, transportation, hospitality, and consumer products.

As part of this initiative, TCS ​will have an on-site presence​ at MassRobotics’ facility in Boston. This will allow TCS to directly collaborate with innovative robotics startups, research institutions, and industry leaders. Danobat launches ‘most precise robot on the market’

The machine tool manufacturer Danobat has entered the industrial robotics sector with the launch of the DMTR range, a development which the company says “redefines industry standards”.

Danobat says the new machine – which it describes as the ‘most precise robot on the market” – sets a new benchmark in accuracy and efficiency, combining the flexibility of a robot with the stability and precision of a machine tool.

Matthews Automation agrees global commercial partnership with Mobile Industrial Robots

Matthews Automation has agreed a global commercial partnership between its automation solutions business segment and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), a manufacturer of collaborative autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and part of Teradyne Robotics, a division of Teradyne.

The new partnership combines Matthews’ proven warehouse automation technologies with MiR’s advanced AMRs uniquely suited for internal transportation and material handling tasks in a variety of settings.

This collaboration positions both companies to capitalize on the projected 30 percent compound annual growth rate in the AGV/AMR market by 2028, driven by rising demand in e-commerce and the flexibility of AMRs to deploy without major infrastructure changes. Flexiv partners with Kurabo to launch new industrial robot

Flexiv, a developer of general-purpose robotics solutions, has partnered with Kurabo, a Japanese pioneer in high-speed image processing and 3D measurement technology, to develop the “groundbreaking” Kuravizon adaptive robot.

Integrating Flexiv’s industry-leading force control technology with Kurabo’s advanced 3D vision sensing technology, Kurasense, the Kuravizon robot will be available for sale starting January 10th, 2025.
