Interview: Ambi Robotics founder sees ‘huge opportunities’ in new markets

The founding of Ambi Robotics is somewhat obscured by the mist of history, but it started with some abandoned robots in a basement and the co-founders meeting at University of California Berkeley in 2018. 

Within about a year, the five founders made a breakthrough in simulation-to-reality transfer learning systems for robotics, calling it Sim2Real AI, which, in turn, led to the establishment of Ambidextrous Laboratories Inc, and a year later to the commercialization of the technology in the form of the AmbiSort parcel sorting system.

DHL bolsters its US network with $74 million Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky investment

DHL eCommerce, a division of the world’s biggest logistics company, DHL Group, has opened a fully-owned 307,000 square-foot distribution center in Hebron, KY, 10 minutes from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

The company is combining three properties it leased in a business park in the CVG area into this larger, $74 million distribution center that will employ approximately 400 full and part-time employees.

Radial opens second fulfillment center in Indianapolis with 200 Geek+ robots to automate site

Radial, a Belgian Post group company, a provider of e-commerce solutions, has agreed a partnership with Geek+, a provider of robotic solutions for logistics, to provide automation and robotics for its new 601,045 square-foot fulfillment center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The new state-of-the-art facility, located at 8838 East County Road, will enable Radial to support high-volume order fulfillment for a well-known clothing and apparel brand.
