Comau deploys in.Grid robot monitoring platform at Iveco plant

February 7, 2026 by Sam Francis

Comau has deployed its in.Grid Robot Monitoring platform at Italian transport vehicle manufacturer Iveco’s Valladolid plant in Spain, helping support the customer’s industrial digitalization strategy.

Developed to enhance operational visibility and improve maintenance efficiency, the cloud-based system monitors Comau robots on Iveco’s Door Ring and Mascherone assembly lines.

Comau’s in.Grid Robot Monitoring system autonomously captures production and process data, identifies performance deviations, signals anomalies, and verifies user-defined KPIs. [Read more…] about Comau deploys in.Grid robot monitoring platform at Iveco plant

Comau Robotics launches IIoT platform to create digital factories

June 27, 2019 by Anna

Comau Robotics has unveiled a new solution to create digital factories. The company calls it ‘in.Grid’ and describes it as an industrial internet of things platform.

In the digital factory everything is connected: the machines, the robots, and the individual production units that communicate with each other and with the operators.

Elements transfer data in real time to a central system capable of interpreting and analysing them, thereby making the whole process workflow more efficient.

By Michael Ford, Aegis Software

Industry 4.0 describes both a business model and technology process for factories, to both require and enable them to become super-efficient whilst also being super-flexible.

Traditional approaches to automation in machinery and robotics continue to be successful, but, are mainly focused on specific production operations, leaving critical operational level decision-making on the “to do” list.

Well, if we don’t get to it soon, someone else will do it for us, and it may not be a human.  [Read more…] about Opinion: Putting artificial intelligence to work in industrial operations
