Exotec launches new robot-based automated storage and retrieval system

Exotec, a warehouse robotics provider, has launched the Next Generation of its Skypod system, offering higher performance, improved storage density, and advanced software features.

The Next Generation of Skypod comes with a number of design improvements, including a new and more compact Skypod robot, a workstation for robot-to-robot picking, a high-throughput exchanger, and denser storage.

Brightpick launches supertall robot with 20 ft reach for warehouse work

Brightpick, a leading provider of warehouse automation solutions for order fulfillment, has unveiled Brightpick Giraffe, an innovative robot capable of reaching heights up to 20 feet (6 m).

With this advancement, Brightpick users can now achieve up to three times the warehouse storage density of manual operations and double the density compared to the previous Brightpick solution.

Brightpick Giraffe is designed to work alongside Brightpick Autopicker robots for automated order picking. It retrieves storage totes from upper-level shelf locations and delivers them to lower levels, where an Autopicker can access them for picking (up to a height of 11 feet / 3.4 m). Locus Robotics and The Quality Group partner to ‘transform fulfillment operations’ in Germany

Cyngn supplies its autonomous tugger to Coats Company facility

Cyngn has initiated a production implementation with Coats Company, the largest full-line wheel service equipment manufacturer in North America.

The installation of Cyngn’s DriveMod Tugger – a self-driving industrial vehicle that can haul goods indoors and outdoors – is under way at Coats’ 150,000+ square foot manufacturing facility in La Vergne, Tennessee.

Cyngn raises $33 million in December to scale autonomous mobile robot business

Autonomous mobile robotics developer Cyngn has secured $33 million in funding. This funding positions the company to accelerate its growth and deliver on its mission to proliferate industrial autonomous vehicles.

Deus Robotics secures $3 million investment to enable robot interoperability for warehouses

Deus Robotics, a provider of warehouse robotic automation, has closed a $3 million seed funding round led by U.Ventures, with participation from 1991 Ventures, SID Venture Partners, Sigma Software Labs, and SD Capital.

The company offers an end-to-end robotic automation solution consisting of a unique AI platform that enables seamless integration, management, and optimization of robots from any manufacturer, and an advanced fleet of AI-enhanced robots from a variety of manufacturers to meet the majority of warehouse automation needs.

Nexcom showcases ‘next-gen’ autonomous mobile robot at CES

NexAIoT, a developer of AI-driven industrial automation technologies and a subsidiary of Nexcom International, is showcasing its second-generation autonomous mobile robot (AMR), the NexMOV-2.

The company says its new AMR represents “cutting-edge advancements in intelligent mobility and modular design”.

Grenzebach supplies AGVs for Benteler’s automated intralogistics complex

Grenzebach has developed and implemented customer-specific superstructures and charging stations for Benteler’s automated intralogistics complex. The Benteler Group is a global supplier of vehicle components to the automotive industry.

For Benteler, efficient material planning, a reliable material flow, and the digitalization of value creation processes are essential. The company was therefore looking for an automated solution for its intralogistics.

The goal was to combine different systems and processes within one production line and to be able to transport goods without forklift trucks from A to B.
