ABB evolves IRB 1200 small robot family, with ‘greater speed, precision and choice’

ABB Robotics’ IRB 1200 high performance small robot family is evolving into a new generation that is faster and more precise, improving productivity and efficiency for a wide range of applications, says the company.

Yaskawa to build $180 million campus in Wisconsin, relocating US headquarters and expanding robot manufacturing

Yaskawa Electric, one of the world’s largest industrial makers, says it plans to invest $180 million in a new multi-purpose campus in Franklin, Wisconsin.

The facility will serve as the new US headquarters for Yaskawa America, consolidating existing operations in Illinois and Wisconsin. The move marks a significant expansion of Yaskawa’s footprint in North America and is scheduled to take place over the next 8 to 10 years.

Kuka launches cleanroom-certified robot for semiconductor and electronics industries

Kuka has introduced a cleanroom-certified version of its autonomous mobile robot (AMR), the KMR iisy CR, designed specifically for sensitive environments such as semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.

The new model meets ISO cleanroom class 3 standards, as confirmed by the Fraunhofer Institute, and is available in 11- and 15-kilogram payload variants.

Dürr expands training centre in Bietigheim-Bissingen

Machine and plant manufacturer Dürr has expanded its training centre by adding a sealing robot cell. Since May, customers have been receiving hands-on training in the latest sealing technology under real conditions at the company’s headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen.

Well-trained personnel are essential to ensuring high product quality and long-term system availability. That is why Dürr offers targeted training programs tailored to different user groups, delivered under production-oriented conditions in the field of paint and thick-film application.

In spring 2025, the company expanded its training centre in Bietigheim-Bissingen with a sealing robot cell equipped with EcoRail HS and two latest-generation robots: the EcoRS N20i and EcoRS L15i.
