Drone radar company Echodyne to open $40 million new manufacturing facility in Washington state

Echodyne, a radar platform company, has announced a major near-term expansion in its advanced radar production capacity.

Echodyne’s new 86,350-square-foot facility in Washington state will provide enough manufacturing and warehouse space to produce and ship more than 30,000 radars per year.

The company’s modular manufacturing approach allows production capacity to flex to match varying demand across product lines as well as seamlessly introducing new product lines and capabilities. Corvus Robotics launches new drones for autonomous inventory in sub-zero warehouses

Corvus Robotics, a provider of physical AI robotic systems including drones for logistics and warehousing operations, has launched the Corvus One for Cold Chain, an autonomous inventory management system engineered to operate continuously in freezer environments ranging from minus-20 degrees Fahrenheit to ambient temperatures.

Designed to withstand extreme cold, airflow, frost, and condensation, the system delivers frequent, accurate inventory cycle counts without human intervention, enabling operators to maintain real-time visibility while keeping labor and equipment out of harsh freezer conditions. Wing and Walmart are embarking on the next chapter of the world’s largest drone delivery expansion to evolve our service from a regional success into a delivery option across the nation.

Ras Al Khaimah sets new record with spectacular New Year’s Eve drone show

Ras Al Khaimah – one of the seven emirates, along with Dubai and Abu Dhabi, that make up the United Arab Emirates – rang in 2026 with a spectacular 15-minute drones and fireworks display that set a new Guinness World Records title for the “Largest aerial display of a phoenix formed by multirotors/drones”.

Palladyne AI and Draganfly partner to enable advanced autonomous operations and swarming capabilities

Airbound secures $8.65 million seed funding to expand drone deliveries business

Airbound, an Indian autonomous delivery logistics company specializing in blended-wing-body aircraft, has announced $8.65 million in seed funding and a pilot partnership with Narayana Health.

The round was led by Lachy Groom, co-founder of Physical Intelligence, with participation from Humba Ventures and continued participation from Lightspeed.

Matternet pilots drone delivery in Los Angeles with Dave’s Hot Chicken

Matternet, the developer of the world’s leading urban drone delivery system, is partnering with Dave’s Hot Chicken to launch a drone delivery pilot, a first for the fast-casual leader.

The service will debut in Northridge, a Los Angeles suburb, where eligible residents will be able to order Dave’s Hot Chicken through the Dave’s app and receive it directly to their homes via Matternet’s autonomous M2 drones – arriving hot, fresh, and fast.
