Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher company and a specialist in laboratory automation and innovation, says it is “redefining nucleic acid quantification” through a strategic collaboration with Hombrechtikon Systems Engineering, a Swiss provider of customized automation and engineering solutions for the life sciences and diagnostics sectors.

This partnership updates and miniaturizes traditional nucleic acid quantification, powered by an automation-first approach that integrates high-throughput liquid handling directly into molecular biology workflows.

Otsaw wins contract to expand healthcare robotics across US

Otsaw, a developer of autonomous robotics and operations-technology healthcare solutions, has received a contract from Vizient, the largest provider-driven healthcare performance improvement company in the United States.

This agreement grants Otsaw expanded access to Vizient’s vast network of US health system clients, including over 65 percent of the nation’s acute care providers, 97 percent of academic medical centers, and a broad range of community, pediatric, and non-acute healthcare facilities.

Siemens partners with Snowflake to enable IT/OT convergence across edge and cloud for industrial customers

Siemens is collaborating with Snowflake, the AI data cloud company, to help manufacturers unlock new levels of operational efficiency, scale and AI-driven insights.

The collaboration enables mutual customers across the globe to connect their operational technology (OT) data from the shop floor with information technology (IT) data, such as supply chain management and financial data.

RoboBoston 2025 brings robots, parades, and career opportunities to the Seaport

RoboBoston, one of the largest celebrations of robots and robotics in the US, takes place in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

More than 50 companies, universities, and student robotics teams will gather to showcase advanced robotics and technology in a pavilion-style, family-friendly exhibition.

JR Automation unveils plans for $72.8 million global headquarters in Michigan

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group company and global automation specialist, has unveiled plans for a new global headquarters in Zeeland, Michigan. The project is expected to cost $72.8 million. 

The announcement follows a strategic meeting in Tokyo between Hitachi executives, JR Automation leadership, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, underscoring the company’s commitment to innovation, global collaboration, and investment in Michigan’s advanced manufacturing sector.

ETH Zurich students and Gebrüder Weiss take part in World Solar Challenge 2025

The aCentauri Solar Racing Team completes the 3,000-kilometer race across Australia under challenging conditions / Logistics partner Gebrüder Weiss ensures smooth operations off the track

ETH Zurich’s aCentauri Solar Racing Team finished the World Solar Challenge in Australia in 11th place out of a total of 28 teams in the “Challenger” class.

The students covered the approximately 3,000-kilometre route from Darwin to Adelaide in six days, facing consistently challenging weather and road conditions during the Australian winter. Once again, Gebrüder Weiss served as the team’s official logistics partner.

Dürr builds automotive paint shop for Volkswagen plant in Mexico

Dürr has built a paint shop designed to slash CO2 emissions at one of the Volkswagen Group’s largest manufacturing facilities. The plant in Puebla, Mexico, was inaugurated in January 2025.

The turnkey project includes two identical painting lines that are particularly environmentally friendly due to their electrified equipment, such as the electric drying system.

Korean Air partners with Swissport on handling air cargo at JFK airport

Korean Air is partnering with Swissport to operate its air cargo’s long-standing freight facility, Cargo Building 9, at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

The five-year cargo handling contract comes into effect on 1st September 2025 and accords Swissport full management and sublease responsibilities for the terminal.
