Generative design: nTopology blazing a trail through 3D printing world

One of the most impressive features of the nTopology design application is that it requires substantially less computing power. According to the company’s – and its partners’ – calculations, file sizes can be 99 percent smaller compared with traditional 3D design software. 

Traditional, long-established software for 3D design tends to be very memory-hungry and can seriously stress out processors. nTop, on the other hand, can provide the same functionality if used on a laptop as traditional 3D design applications would if run on a supercomputer – because nTop was specifically designed for today’s 3D printing and design requirements.

Eyewear retailer brings in robot from Osaro to keep up with e-commerce orders

Osaro, a developer of advanced robotics for e-commerce, has partnered with Zenni, an online eyewear retailer, to automate the “last meter” of Zenni’s fulfillment center in Novato, California.

Three Osaro Robotic Bagging Systems will take on the responsibility of readying eyewear orders for shipment to US customers.

The implementation is also an industry first. This is the first time a robot will be assigned the responsibility of working with an automated mechanical bagging system to ensure a customer’s unique order is placed into the correct bag for shipment. Indoor Robotics raises $15 million to ‘revolutionize building monitoring and security’

Indoor Robotics, an indoor drone technology company that recently launched Tando drone, has raised $15 million in series A funding.

The round of funding was led by Pitango and included Target Global, European Innovation Council Fund, and Spider Capital. This round enables Indoor Robotics to boost product development and enable intelligent indoor security worldwide.

Developing an autonomous indoor security robot has challenged robotics designers for years. RC Mowers breaks ground on new $4.8 million facility

RC Mowers, a manufacturer of remote-operated robotic mowers, has begun construction of a new $4.8 million office and production facility in Green Bay with plans to begin operations there in February 2023.

Michael Brandt, RC Mowers CEO, says: “RC Mowers has doubled our revenue every year since our inception four years ago, and this new facility will alleviate the growing pains we’re experiencing as a result of our success.
