Why Automation Should be Part of Your Digital Signage Strategy

April 27, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Automation is not a futuristic word, it is just another way of ensuring your digital signs take as little effort as possible. It can work in several different ways.

For example, you could have a live feed of information that displays information based on whatever program is running. You could have the sort of automation that tells people when their next appointment is due or when their next bus is due.

Even things like having your content run on a schedule is considered automation, and it too should be part of your digital signage strategy. [Read more…] about Why Automation Should be Part of Your Digital Signage Strategy

Metal Nameplates: What Are Their Uses?

January 24, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Metal nameplates are widely used in home appliances, machinery, electronic products, and other fields. They can also be used as metal labels on machines to ensure that equipment is used correctly. In addition, information for safety guidelines, asset tracking, or manufacturing data can be embedded in them.

The metals that are used often include iron, stainless steel, aluminum, zinc alloy, tin, copper, and more. The plates can be created through methods such as etching, printing, stamping, electroplating, drop plastic, wire drawing, and other processes.

You can have customized nameplates made and designed according to your specifications. Metal Marker Manufacturing provides more information about metal nameplates and how you can have yours made with custom specifications. [Read more…] about Metal Nameplates: What Are Their Uses?

Perseverance’s first year on Mars: Purdue professor, mission team member looks at what is ahead

January 24, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

Almost one year into the Mars rover mission, accomplishing its goal is on the horizon for Purdue University’s Briony Horgan and the Perseverance team.

February 18 will mark one year since the rover landed on the red planet following a seven-month, 300-million-mile flight across space.

Horgan, associate professor of planetary science in the Purdue College of Science’s Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, says anticipation is building as the team focuses on the mission goal: researching a now-dry large river delta. Where to Buy Street Signs?

October 15, 2020 by Polly Leave a Comment

Road signs on city streets and county highways are important markers that let travellers know where they are, help them see if they’re going in the right direction, and allow them to judge how far they still have to travel. Before street signs, the world was a much more frightening place to travel.

The good news is that there are street signs to help guide traveller’s paths in nearly every country around the world. These signs are instrumental for giving people hope, keeping them on the right paths, and providing them with a sense of control over their travels because they know, to some degree, where they are.

You might be surprised to learn how important street signs are. However, if you’ve ever been looking for a street to make a turn and found the sign to be missing, you understand how frustrating it can be when the signs aren’t clearly displayed and where they are supposed to be. German automaker calls its autonomous technology “piloted driving”

Twelve months after the launch of the “Digital Motorway Test Bed”, Audi has presented new technologies for what it calls “piloted driving” and connected cars at the German Federal Ministry of Transport.

The connected car aspect of the presentation will deal with car-to-x technology, with the “x” denoting anything – other vehicles and infrastructure, for example.

Audi says it will concentrate on “online variable message” road signs and infrastructure measures. One of the more difficult problems for autonomous car developers is teaching machines how to tell the difference between traffic lights and other lights, for example.  [Read more…] about Audi to test new autonomous driving technology
