Kodiak Robotics and US Xpress to pilot new autonomous truck route

Kodiak Robotics, a developer of self-driving trucks, has teamed up with US Xpress, one of America’s largest carrier fleets, to launch Level 4 autonomous freight service between Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta using Kodiak’s self-driving trucks.

US Xpress will become the first cornerstone truckload partner in Kodiak’s Partner Deployment Program, working hand-in-hand with Kodiak to deploy self-driving technology.

Swisslog and Berkshire Grey partner to develop robotic solutions to warehouse operations

Berkshire Grey, a developer of AI-enabled robotic solutions and Swisslog, a provider of data-driven robotics solutions, have agreed a partnership to provide robotic solutions to help grocery or e-grocery, e-commerce and retail customers meet the demands of today’s connected consumers while managing widespread labor shortages.

Halodi Robotics to supply 140 humanoid robots to security company ADT

Halodi Robotics has signed an agreement to provide 140 humanoid robots to ADT Commercial, a US-based provider of commercial security, fire, life safety and risk consulting services. This is believed to be the largest deal of its kind involving humanoid robots.

The two companies will demonstrate their joint solution at the ISC West trade show in the Las Vegas Convention Center, stand 20019, from March 22-25.

The agreement is the result of the strategic partnership announced in April 2021 where Halodi Robotics secured an investment from ADT Commercial to develop a robot to complement their physical security solutions. RightHand Robotics raises $66 million in Series C funding

RightHand Robotics, a startup developing autonomous robotic picking solutions for order fulfillment, has secured $66 million in a Series C financing.

The funding round was led by investors Safar Partners, a technology venture fund; Thomas H. Lee Partners, an investor in automation and supply chain; and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, which is part of the SoftBank Group.

Zebra Technologies, Epson and Global Brain also join this round, along with previous investors GV, F-Prime Capital, Menlo Ventures, Matrix Partners and Tony Fadell’s Future Shape. Arsenal Capital Partners acquires automation solutions provider Eckhart from LFM Capital

Arsenal Capital Partners, a private equity firm that specializes in investments in industrial growth and healthcare companies, has acquired automation solutions provider Eckhart from LFM Capital.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Eckhart’s advanced engineering, design, simulation, and integration services, along with proprietary tooling and other automation and robotics systems, support customers at critical points in the automation value chain. Swisslog to deliver another AutoStore to Bring Parcels’ major venture in Copenhagen

In early 2021, Swisslog signed a framework agreement with Bring Parcels for the supply of warehouse automation for the logistics company’s new fulfillment solution “Shelfless”.

A decision has now been made to build the fully automated fulfillment solution also in Køge outside Copenhagen.

It is now clear that Bring will build its third automated AutoStore facility, this time in Køge outside Copenhagen. The facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023. Uber Eats and Motional partner to make autonomous deliveries

Motional, a driverless technology developer, and Uber Technologies have agreed a partnership to launch autonomous deliveries for Uber customers, starting in Santa Monica in early 2022.

Motional’s all-electric vehicles will conduct deliveries of a curated set of meal kits from select restaurants on Uber Eats.

Epson signs Gibson Engineering as distributor in US Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions

Perrone Robotics selects Ouster as ‘preferred lidar supplier’ for autonomous vehicles
