ROEQ launches ‘world’s most precise’ docking station for Mobile Industrial Robots

September 13, 2019 by David Edwards

ROEQ claims to have launched the “world’s most precise docking station for Mobile Industrial Robots”.

The new docking station’s ± 1mm repeatability ensures precise delivery of products and pallets carried by the autonomous mobile robots from Mobile Industrial Robots equipped with ROEQ’s cart solution.

The company unveiled its new product at Pack Expo, which is also the first chance to see ROEQ’s new TR1000 Top Roller live – a unique new conveyor top module for MiR1000, the largest model from Mobile Industrial Robots with up to 1,000 kilo payloads. Moving with the times: Exclusive interview with Mobile Industrial Robots CEO

April 25, 2018 by Abdul Montaqim

mir tugging robot

Judging by the number of people who visit this website to read about warehouse robots, the interest in the sector has grown dramatically over the past year.

Automated guided vehicles have been around for a long time, but they required markings and sometimes rails to be placed on the ground in order to inform of their route, and there was nothing autonomous about them.

They did their job of moving material from place to place within a facility effectively enough, but the new generation of machines are autonomous and allow for far greater flexibility. [Read more…] about Moving with the times: Exclusive interview with Mobile Industrial Robots CEO

Savioke+Relay+Dash+Hallway

Konica Minolta, the Japanese tech giant best known for office equipment, looks to be increasing its activities in the robotics sector.

Konica claims to be one of the first companies to commercialise automated solutions for business, and also says it’s been making “ground-breaking strides” within robotics through proprietary technology.

But it doesn’t seem to have launched a robot of its own. Rather, what it has done is partnered with a range of companies which are developing robotics solutions for a wide variety of settings.  [Read more…] about Konica Minolta steps up its activities in robotics

Mobile Industrial Robots launches new MiR200 logistics robot

April 7, 2017 by Sam Francis

mir 200

Mobile Industrial Robots, a developer and manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots for logistics, has launched its newest robot, the MiR200.

The company says the MiR200 is “a more powerful mobile robot in almost every aspect” than the company’s flagship MiR100, which has already been installed in more than 30 countries by companies such as Airbus, Boeing, Flex, Honeywell, Michelin, Procter & Gamble, Toyota and Walmart.

MiR says its vehicles are “a dramatic improvement over legacy automated guided vehicles”, which require the expensive and inflexible installation of sensors or magnets into factory floors for guidance.  [Read more…] about Mobile Industrial Robots launches new MiR200 logistics robot
