RoboBoston 2025 brings robots, parades, and career opportunities to the Seaport

RoboBoston, one of the largest celebrations of robots and robotics in the US, takes place in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

More than 50 companies, universities, and student robotics teams will gather to showcase advanced robotics and technology in a pavilion-style, family-friendly exhibition.

The event – organized with MassRobotics – will be held at 88 Seaport Blvd, Boston, and is free and open to the public.

MassRobotics announces its 2025 Robotics Medal winners and Rising Stars

MassRobotics, a robotics innovation organization, announced its 2025 Robotics Medal and Rising Star recipients at the IEEE ICRA conference in Atlanta.

The Robotics Medal is the world’s first major award to recognize the wide-ranging impact of female researchers focusing on the development of robotics around the globe.

MassRobotics selects winners of Form & Function University Robotics Challenge

MassRobotics has announced the winners of its 3rd Form & Function University Robotics Challenge.

Fifteen teams from around the globe showcased their robotics and automation projects, competing for cash prizes. The idea of this challenge is to create a robot that looks good (Form) and works (Function).

Indian industrial giant Tata partners with MassRobotics to accelerate innovation in robotics

Tata Consultancy Services, one of the world’s largest IT services, consulting, and business solutions providers, has agreed a ​​​collaborative engagement​ with MassRobotics, the largest independent robotics hub in the world dedicated to advancing robotics and connected devices.

Through this collaboration, ​TCS aims to support MassRobotics’ mission to foster robotics innovation by engaging with startups, researchers, and industry leaders exploring applications focused on sectors such as retail, travel, transportation, hospitality, and consumer products.

As part of this initiative, TCS ​will have an on-site presence​ at MassRobotics’ facility in Boston. Robotics accelerator MassRobotics has launched its third annual Form and Function Robotics Challenge.

MassRobotics reveals chosen startups for healthcare robotics support program

MassRobotics has revealed the fourth cohort of its Healthcare Robotics Startup Catalyst Program, marking a record-breaking year with an unprecedented number of applicants.

This year’s cohort includes six innovative companies selected for their cutting-edge solutions in healthcare robotics.

The selection process was guided by the expertise and support of the MassRobotics Steering Committee, which includes industry leaders from MITRE, Festo, Mitsubishi Electric, and Novanta, and other key stakeholders. MassRobotics partners with Chewy to launch $30,000 prize competition

MassRobotics, in collaboration with Chewy, a pet food and care products retailer, has launched the CHAMP (Chewy Autonomous Mobile Picking) Challenge.

This innovation challenge invites robotics developers and innovators to tackle a pressing issue in warehouse automation: designing a system that efficiently grasps, lifts, and places heavy, awkwardly shaped items in confined warehouse spaces.

ABB Robotics sponsors MassRobotics to accelerate innovation in the robotics industry

ABB Robotics has agreed a sponsorship deal with MassRobotics, one of the leading innovation hubs and startup accelerators for robotics in the United States.

As part of this sponsorship, ABB Robotics will donate several of its versatile GoFa 5kg collaborative robots (cobots), and licenses to its RobotStudio simulation programming software to MassRobotics, providing emerging companies access to cutting-edge technology to drive innovation and development.

John Bubnikovich, president of ABB Robotics, US, says: “By providing our cobots and software to some of the brightest and most innovative engineers in the United States, we are not only helping startups push the boundaries of what’s possible but also benefiting from the fresh perspectives and groundbreaking ideas that emerge from this dynamic community.”
