Contec Australia has delivered what it says is “Australia’s first swimming pool structure constructed using large-scale 3D concrete printing”, demonstrating the ability to produce structural water-retaining elements directly from digital design.
The swimming pool, spa, and associated structural elements were completed using 3D concrete printing as part of a three-storey residence currently under construction. The home was designed by CAPA Studios, with pool and landscape design by Tristan Peirce Landscape Architects.
The curved pool shell, spa, and surrounding landscape structures were printed directly from the architectural and engineering models, enabling the construction of complex geometry without formwork.
