Eternal.ag scales fully-autonomous harvesting robots with first customer Van Noord Growers

June 5, 2026 by Sam Francis

The German agritech startup eternal.ag has deployed its fully-autonomous greenhouse harvesting robot, Harvester, to the Dutch grower, Van Noord Growers, as part of a long-term agreement.

Van Noord Growers, located in Zeeland in the Netherlands, produces both tomatoes and cucumbers across a total 8.5-hectare site. It has been operating the Harvester robot, specialized in truss tomatoes, since September 2025 and is now set to expand its fleet to a total of three this summer following a successful initial period.

With eternal.ag’s plug and play approach, the Harvester has been integrated into Van Noord’s operations from day one. The fully-autonomous Harvester is designed to operate for up to 22 hours per day, 7 days a week, and harvests trusses using an AI layer to ensure ripeness, consistency and clean cutting. Robotics firm Eternal and seed breeder Rijk Zwaan partner to optimize tomato varieties for greenhouse automation

June 3, 2026 by Sam Francis

eternal.ag and Rijk Zwaan are collaborating in exploring which tomato varieties can support robotic crop work operations in greenhouses.

By sharing knowledge and insights, the initiative aims to better understand which plant characteristics are suited for a future where crop work in greenhouse environments is fully automated.

By combining Rijk Zwaan’s global experience in fruit and vegetable breeding with eternal.ag’s expertise in robotics and AI, the companies will explore which crop traits are most suitable for autonomous tasks in greenhouses such as harvesting and other activities. Fieldwork Robotics signs collaboration agreement with Dynium

April 16, 2026 by David Edwards

Fieldwork Robotics, a developer of selective, adaptive and modular harvesting robots, has partnered with Dynium, a UK-based company specialising in the design and manufacture of fully autonomous vehicles for polytunnel and other off-highway applications.

The partnership with Dynium opens new possibilities for Fieldwork Robotics’ harvesting robots. Growers will benefit from greater choice in base navigation platforms to power Fieldwork’s harvesting payload as this collaboration enables further interoperability between different technologies.

Interoperability of technology is a huge advantage to growers and will afford Fieldwork’s customers greater flexibility and lower operating costs. [Read more…] about Fieldwork Robotics signs collaboration agreement with Dynium
