Fieldwork Robotics signs collaboration agreement with Dynium

Fieldwork Robotics, a developer of selective, adaptive and modular harvesting robots, has partnered with Dynium, a UK-based company specialising in the design and manufacture of fully autonomous vehicles for polytunnel and other off-highway applications. 

The partnership with Dynium opens new possibilities for Fieldwork Robotics’ harvesting robots. Growers will benefit from greater choice in base navigation platforms to power Fieldwork’s harvesting payload as this collaboration enables further interoperability between different technologies.

Interoperability of technology is a huge advantage to growers and will afford Fieldwork’s customers greater flexibility and lower operating costs.

Additionally, through this partnership, Fieldwork’s robots will gain enhanced power, improved fleet management, and smarter autonomous navigation. Dynium vehicles utilise high torque articulated propulsion units (“e-hubs”), enabling a non-skid steer, high payload capacity vehicle.

These systems also allow for Fieldwork’s robots to tackle steeper inclines safely and efficiently, expanding the range of farms and terrains where Fieldwork’s robots can be deployed, helping to meet the growing demand for fully integrated solutions to power the next generation of autonomous agriculture robots.

This partnership follows the completion of Fieldwork’s 18-month BerryBot Project, part funded by an Innovate UK grant in 2023, which demonstrated the effectiveness of Fieldwork’s base-agnostic approach and engineering advancements.

This collaboration with Dynium also opens opportunities for future joint Innovate UK funded projects, providing a clear pathway to scale and collaboratively drive innovation for both companies.
