Aerospace manufacturer JPB Système reaches ‘production milestone’ of 5 million flight parts

JPB Système, a manufacturer of technology solutions for aerospace, aeronautic and other industries, says it has manufactured “five million separate flight parts since the start of its production operations over 20 years ago”.

The milestone predominantly comprises component parts used to produce JPB Système’s innovative LULYLOK B-nut self-locking device and borescope self-locking plug, both of which are supplied to global aircraft engine manufacturers including Safran, Rolls Royce, GE and Pratt & Whitney.

ArrowSpot signs multi-million-dollar deal with Astrocast to mass produce satellite tracking system

Astrocast, a global nanosatellite IoT network operator, and ArrowSpot has signed a multi-million-dollar contract to start mass production of ArrowSpot’s ArrowTrack SAT device.

The contract between Astrocast and ArrowSpot includes hardware integration and Satellite IoT (SatIoT) connectivity for an initial three-year period.

For context, ArrowSpot’s technology solutions provide the worldwide supply chain logistics industry with online information for safe & secure sensitive chilled cargo and high value cargo. Lenovo unveils foldable tablet computer

Lenovo has unveiled a foldable tablet computer, the likes of which have so far only been seen in science fiction.

Lenovo says its next-generation ThinkPad X1 Fold “redefines the foldable PC category” that the company claims to have created in 2020.

Virtual Incision’s robotic surgery device to launch into space

Virtual Incision, a medical device company which claims to be “pioneering the world’s first miniaturized robotic-assisted surgery platform”, says its MIRA Platform will be launched into space to test its skills in a mission aboard the International Space Station.

The opportunity is driven by a recently awarded grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and is a technology demonstration scheduled for 2024.

FDA approves Virtual Incision to complete clinical study enrollment for its MIRA platform

Virtual Incision, a medical device company pioneering the world’s first miniaturized robotic-assisted surgery platform, says the US Food and Drug Administration has approved an Investigational Device Exemption supplement to complete the final stage of its clinical study analyzing the MIRA Platform in bowel resection procedures.

The approval was supported by a favorable interim clinical study report on the safety profile of MIRA.

The IDE supplement approval puts Virtual Incision on track to obtain the clinical evidence needed to bring innovation to the soft tissue surgical robotics industry, a market that has been historically dominated by a single player.
