The Growing Demand for Intelligence Analysts in the Tech Sector

March 6, 2025 by David Edwards

The tech industry is expanding faster than ever, creating both opportunities and challenges. Companies deal with massive amounts of data, cyber threats, and business risks that require careful monitoring.

Cybersecurity breaches, fraud, and market competition make it necessary for businesses to stay ahead of potential threats.

Intelligence analysts play a key role in helping organizations protect data, prevent fraud, and understand risks. These professionals gather, interpret, and analyze information to support decision-making. Their insights help businesses avoid security issues and make strategic choices that improve operations. Falling Demand is Undermining Government Investment in Battery and Semiconductor Tech

January 6, 2024 by David Edwards

Improvements in battery and semiconductor technology are essential for automation. Physically instantiated AI systems need power cells that can fuel them for work. Tethering them to long cables is impractical in most situations.

Unfortunately, demand for these ancillary technologies is drying up, despite billions of dollars in direct U.S. government funding. Slowing growth in electric vehicle sales is partly to blame.

Still, pundits are also anticipating Donald Trump’s return to the Whitehouse, dampening sentiment in the science and technology sector’s long-term investment plans. [Read more…] about Falling Demand is Undermining Government Investment in Battery and Semiconductor Tech

Wiferion launches compact wireless charging system for small mobile robots

May 20, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Wiferion, an energy solution supplier powering mobile robots and autonomous industrial vehicles through wireless charging, introduced its new inductive etaLINK 1000 charging system to the US market, making its successful wireless charging technology available to smaller robots for the first time.

The new mobile charging unit integrated into the robot measures just 160 mm – making it 36 percent smaller than the etaLINK 3000, Wiferion’s standard charging system for autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and autonomous guided vehicles (AGV).

etaLINK 1000 has all the advantages of the larger models, such as high positioning tolerance, maintenance-free operation, and fast start up of power transfer in around one second. Wiferion will debut the etaLINK 1000 at Automate, May 22-25, 2023, in Detroit. [Read more…] about Wiferion launches compact wireless charging system for small mobile robots

Aerobotix and FerRobotics to showcase new robotic taping kit at Automate 2023

May 16, 2023 by David Edwards

Aerobotix and FerRobotics, two robotics companies based in the US and Austria respectively, will exhibit their new Active Taping Kit (ATK) tool at the Automate Show in Detroit, Michigan, from May 22-25. This will be the first public demonstration of the ATK in North America.

Aerobotix and FerRobotics partnered on the ATK in response to aerospace industry demand for an automated tool for precision application of masking tape. Collaboration between engineers from the two companies led to the development of a revolutionary End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) after months of prototypes and testing.

FerRobotics’ patented Active Compliant Technology (ACT) enables a robot to use varying force when applying tape to an aircraft. The ATK allows for smooth masking on parts varying in shape, putting down perfectly straight tape lines where the customer needs them.   [Read more…] about Aerobotix and FerRobotics to showcase new robotic taping kit at Automate 2023
