Pipedream Partners with Curiosity Lab to launch ‘world’s first’ underground autonomous logistics network

January 13, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Peachtree Corners, one of the America’s first smart cities powered by real-world connected infrastructure and 5G, has launched what it says is “the world’s first below-ground autonomous robot delivery system”.

The project partner is Pipedream, the underground logistics network that is “revolutionizing the way goods are delivered”.

Peachtree Corners’ government and its partners say the new delivery system is bringing consumers “unprecedented convenience through faster, autonomous, efficient and cost-effective transportation channels”. Clevon’s T-Mobile powered autonomous delivery robot fleet zooms into smart city Peachtree Corners

September 30, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Peachtree Corners, one of America’s “first” smart cities powered by real-world connected infrastructure and 5G, says Clevon, an autonomous delivery company, is joining the city’s Curiosity Lab ecosystem.

Clevon’s autonomous robot carriers (ARCs), powered by T-Mobile connectivity, are designed to collect orders at warehouses, retail stores, dark stores and micro fulfillment centers, and then deliver those goods to people and businesses around the city.

Sander Sebastian Agur, Clevon’s CEO, says: “It was only fitting to bring our second major operation here in the United States to one of the most advanced smart city environments in the world at Peachtree Corners. Seoul Robotics establishes office at Curiosity Lab in Peachtree Corners

March 18, 2023 by Mai Tao

Peachtree Corners, a tiny US town which claims to be “one of the world’s first smart cities powered by real-world connected infrastructure and 5G”, has been chosen by Seoul Robotics as a new location for its company.

Seoul Robotics has established its United States office in Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners. The company’s presence in Curiosity Lab will fuel further development of its groundbreaking 3D perception platform, while providing the company with a real-world testing environment along Peachtree Corners’ city streets.

William Muller, vice president of business development for Seoul Robotics, says: “With our 3D smart infrastructure solutions already deployed in areas across the Southeast, establishing an office within Curiosity Lab was the logical next step as we continue to expand our US presence. 100,000 Husqvarna robots prepare to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to NASA’s Mars robot

July 27, 2022 by David Edwards

More than 100,000 Husqvarna robots are preparing to sing the traditional “Happy Birthday” song to NASA’s Mars Curiosity Rover robot in the weirdest birthday party ever.

Husqvarna says its robots will shout at the top of their voices – or whatever it is they use to communicate – from Earth to Mars, which is a distance of more than 174 million km, in an effort to get through to the “loneliest robot in the universe”, according to the company.

It generally takes about 5 to 20 minutes for a radio signal to travel the distance between Mars and Earth, depending on planet positions. [Read more…] about 100,000 Husqvarna robots prepare to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to NASA’s Mars robot
