Italian scientists demonstrate flying humanoid robot
Researchers in Italy achieved a first flight of iRonCub3, a unique jet-powered flying humanoid robot designed for real-world environments. The robot was able to lift off the floor by approximately 50 cm while maintaining its stability
The Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) has reached a groundbreaking milestone in humanoid robotics by demonstrating the first flight of iRonCub3, the world’s first jet-powered flying humanoid robot specifically designed to operate in real-world environments.
The research team studied the complex aerodynamics of the artificial body and developed an advanced control model for systems composed of several interconnected parts. The overall work on iRonCub3, including real flight tests, took about two years.
In the latest experiments, the robot was able to lift off the floor by approximately 50 cm while maintaining its stability. [Read more…] about Italian scientists demonstrate flying humanoid robot
Is it Time for the Trades to Take Over the Tech Space? One Industry Already is
The tech world usually shines its spotlight on sleek startups, AI experiments, and apps that promise to solve problems we didn’t know we had. But behind all that noise, something much quieter – and honestly, much more grounded – is happening.
The trades, often dismissed as old-school or unsexy, are turning into unlikely tech innovators. And right now, the HVAC industry is leading that shift.
It’s not about trendy gadgets or wearable tech. It’s about solving real-world problems for real businesses in real time. [Read more…] about Is it Time for the Trades to Take Over the Tech Space? One Industry Already is
Appetronix unveils new fully autonomous fast-food restaurant design concepts
Appetronix, a developer of food robotics, has unveiled new design concepts for its fully-autonomous kitchen platform, saying they redefine how fast-food or “quick-service restaurants” (QSRs) operate at scale.
Following the successful launch last week of a fully-autonomous kitchen for Donatos Pizza in Columbus, Ohio, Appetronix is now actively developing two new robotic cuisine verticals: Asian and Mexican.
The company says the initiative further demonstrated its capability to “serve diverse food categories with exceptional quality, speed, consistency, and zero human intervention”. [Read more…] about Appetronix unveils new fully autonomous fast-food restaurant design concepts
