ABB evolves IRB 1200 small robot family, with ‘greater speed, precision and choice’

ABB Robotics’ IRB 1200 high performance small robot family is evolving into a new generation that is faster and more precise, improving productivity and efficiency for a wide range of applications, says the company.

Galbot raises $151 million to scale embodied AI humanoid robots, partners with Bosch investment arm

Chinese robotics startup Galaxy General Robot Co. – also known as Galbot – has raised $151 million in a funding round led by battery giant CATL and Puquan Capital, bringing its total investment to more than $330 million since its founding in 2023.

The company also announced a strategic joint venture with Boyuan Capital, the investment arm of Bosch Group, to accelerate the global commercialization of embodied AI robots.

Founded by Professor He Wang of Peking University – a Stanford-trained scientist – Galbot specializes in embodied artificial intelligence, which enables robots to perceive and interact with the physical world in a more human-like manner. The company’s technology has applications in retail, automotive, and industrial sectors. Intuitive awarded CE Mark for robotic surgery system

Intuitive, a specialist in minimally invasive care and the pioneer of robotic-assisted surgery, says its da Vinci 5 Surgical System has received CE mark approval for adult and pediatric use in Europe for minimally invasive endoscopic procedures across abdominopelvic and thoracoscopic surgical procedures, including urologic, gynecologic, and general laparoscopic procedures.

Da Vinci 5 is Intuitive’s most advanced and integrated multiport robotic-assisted surgical system, building on the da Vinci Xi Surgical System’s highly functional design.

Ocean Infinity launches ‘NeedleFish’ uncrewed surface vessel in Kuwait

Advanced technology and marine robotics company Ocean Infinity has successfully launched its innovative NeedleFish Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) at an official event with the Kuwaiti Coast Guard (KCG).

Initiated as part of Kuwait’s new national integrated maritime surveillance system being delivered by SRT Marine Systems, the NeedleFish by Ocean Infinity is a custom-equipped unmanned vessel.

Exotec expands in Spain through projects with six new customers

Exotec by Dexter, a specialist in intralogistics automation using scalable robotics, has significantly expanded its portfolio in Spain, implementing its Skypod system in warehouses at six large national and international companies in 2025.
