First procedures completed with EndoQuest’s robotic surgery system

EndoQuest Robotics, a developer of endoluminal robotic surgical technology, says it has completed the first procedures of its pivotal clinical trial, Prospective Assessment of a Robotic Assisted Device in Gastrointestinal Medicine (PARADIGM) (Clinicaltrials.gov).

Using EndoQuest’s Endoluminal Surgical (ELS) System, two colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) procedures were completed by Dr Eric Haas, Chief of Colorectal Surgery at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center where the procedures were performed.

Dr Haas is also the Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital, the Program Director for Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery at the University of Texas at Houston, and a world-renowned pioneer in robotic colorectal surgery. Indy Autonomous Challenge to join Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

The Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) will help jumpstart the Grand Prix of Monterey with an autonomous race held on the famed WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

The race event will include a time trial competition of the world’s fastest autonomous racecars piloted by AI driver software developed by university teams from North America, Europe, and Asia.

Foxconn to partner with Robust.AI to develop warehouse automation robots

Robust.AI, a developer of AI-driven warehouse automation, has agreed a strategic manufacturing partnership with Hon Hai Technology Group, also known as Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturing services provider, to expand production of its flagship Carter multi-function collaborative robotics platform.

The partnership will enable Robust.AI to rapidly fulfill increasing demand from its growing international customer base and strengthen the resilience of its supply chain and manufacturing operations.

According to a recent Global Market Insights report, the warehouse automation market is forecasted to grow from $26.5 billion in 2024 to $115.8 billion by 2034 – a compound annual growth rate of 15.9 percent. Ambi Robotics sells out of AmbiStack systems as ‘Fortune 500 customer demand accelerates’

Hedra raises $32 million to build ‘leading’ generative AI platform for digital characters

Hedra, the AI video generation platform behind over 10 million lifelike videos, has raised $32 million to bring AI-powered video creation to enterprise marketers.

The series A funding round was led by Andreessen Horowitz’s Infrastructure fund (a16z Infra), with participation from existing investors, including a16z speedrun, Abstract, and Index Ventures. This round brings the company’s total funding to $44 million since its last announced fundraise in 2024.

‘Politically unacceptable, morally repugnant’: UN chief calls for global ban on ‘killer robots’

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has once again called for a global ban on lethal autonomous weapon systems – machines capable of taking human lives without human oversight – describing them as “politically unacceptable” and “morally repugnant”.

“There is no place for lethal autonomous weapon systems in our world,” Guterres said on Monday, during an informal UN meeting in New York focused on the use and impact of such weapons.

Dubai Police unveils fully-electric Lotus Emeya-S at World Police Summit
