September 14, 2022 by David Edwards

Software as a Service, or SaaS, is a type of cloud computing platform that has gained popularity. In fact, it had a revenue of almost $100 billion in 2020.

Despite the popularity of software-as-a-service businesses, it is important that a Saas development company find new ways to promote themselves. This can be done through creative marketing techniques like boosting social media presence.

Social media for Software-as-a-service (SaaS) can be a powerful way for businesses to grow their presence online. With over 3.5 billion social media users globally, it can be used to reach out to potential customers and increase their reach. How to find out if someone is listening to your calls

September 14, 2022 by David Edwards

Mobile devices have become an indispensable part of our life. We cannot imagine our day without using them, because smartphone features enable us to keep in touch with the closest ones, organize our daily routine and find all necessary information on the Internet in an instant.

The development of handy devices has made our life easier so that we always can be in connection with the outer world.

But not all people are aware of the fact that confidential information on smartphones can easily be intercepted by hackers. The abundance of private data is a tidbit for cybercriminals that resort to different methods to invade someone’s private space. Even ordinary people have access to spy apps that enable them to track a phone number for free. [Read more…] about How to find out if someone is listening to your calls

Deutsche Bahn and Kia give used electric car batteries a second life as stationary energy storage systems

September 7, 2022 by David Edwards

Korean carmaker Kia and Deutsche Bahn have partnered up to increase the useable life of batteries used in electric mobility. Their solution is to re-use used lithium-ion batteries from electric vehicles to create efficient and cost-effective energy storage systems for green electricity.

These second-life battery energy storage solutions are modular and can be used in a wide variety of different applications.

For example, they can save surplus electricity from photovoltaic systems or, as part of a distributed system, can supply power throughout the day to DB maintenance depots and depots where trains are prepared for operations. DHL begins trial runs of Cleveron’s autonomous delivery vehicle

September 6, 2022 by David Edwards

DHL Express has begun testing an autonomous delivery vehicle built by Estonian company Cleveron. The trials will take place in Tallin, Estonia, and use the Clevon 1 electric delivery robot, which has a 100 km range.

This is the second strategic cooperation where DHL, one of the world’s leading logistics companies, will pilot Cleveron Mobility’s unmanned robot couriers to test their use in last-mile delivery operations.

Clevon 1 will be liveried in DHL’s branding and was due to start delivering parcels by the end of July. [Read more…] about DHL begins trial runs of Cleveron’s autonomous delivery vehicle

MIT device is converting carbon dioxide to oxygen – on Mars

September 6, 2022 by David Edwards

On the red and dusty surface of Mars, nearly 100 million miles from Earth, an instrument the size of a lunchbox is proving it can reliably do the work of a small tree.

The MIT-led Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment, or MOXIE, has been successfully making oxygen from the Red Planet’s carbon-dioxide-rich atmosphere since April 2021, about two months after it touched down on the Martian surface as part of NASA’s Perseverance rover and Mars 2020 mission.

In a study published today in the journal Science Advances, researchers report that, by the end of 2021, MOXIE was able to produce oxygen on seven experimental runs, in a variety of atmospheric conditions, including during the day and night, and through different Martian seasons. In each run, the instrument reached its target of producing six grams of oxygen per hour – about the rate of a modest tree on Earth. DHL to build new €100 million facility at Munich Airport

September 6, 2022 by David Edwards

DHL Express Germany has marked the official start of construction for its new, €104 million Munich Airport facility with a groundbreaking ceremony.

The building, which is being built on parking lots P 80 and P 80 West, will boast a gross floor area of over 11,000 square meters. This will make the facility almost seven times larger than the warehouse DHL Express currently rents at Munich Airport’s cargo center.

DHL Express will build and operate the new site on land leased from the airport operator Flughafen München. [Read more…] about DHL to build new €100 million facility at Munich Airport
