ANYbotics, a provider of AI-driven robotic inspection solutions, has opened a new office in Barcelona, Spain.
Located at the DFactory Barcelona campus, the new engineering and AI hub will be the company’s third global location, alongside Zurich and San Francisco, and will support accelerating demand for ANYbotics’ autonomous inspection solutions across asset-intensive, process sectors.
Today’s expansion follows a period of significant growth for ANYbotics, as companies in sectors including oil and gas, chemicals, utilities, and materials move from pilot projects to full-scale deployments of its autonomous inspection robots.
As the market matures, ANYbotics is expanding its footprint and engineering teams to support and scale its global deployments.
Dr Péter Fankhauser, co-founder and CEO of ANYbotics, says: “We are building a global company to match a global opportunity.
“Barcelona gives us access to exceptional engineering talent in a city that is quickly becoming a key for robotics and industrial engineering talent.”
The new ANYbotics team in Barcelona will focus on core technical disciplines including computer vision and machine learning, backend and frontend software engineering, mechatronics, and DevOps.
As the hub expands, the company plans to further strengthen the team by integrating supply chain and other essential commercial functions.
Andrea Corda, CTO of ANYbotics, says: “The Barcelona team will work on computer vision, machine learning, and core software systems that directly shape what our robots can do.
“These are hard problems, and our location at the DFactory Barcelona campus puts us at the heart of an Industry 4.0 ecosystem which gives us access to the kind of people, research groups and companies who are solving them.”
