Westworld set to return for second series as trailer is released

There’s something nasty at the heart of Westworld, but then, you probably already knew that. 

The massively popular, much-discussed US television science fiction drama series is being scheduled for a second run, starting in April, with a trailer already released (see video below).

Microtechnologies invests $15 million in manufacturing plant in Costa Rica

US manufacturing company Microtechnologies, which specializes in critical components for global industries, has opened a new production plant in the Terra Industrial Park, in Coyol of Alajuela, Costa Rica.

The new facility of 15,000 square meters marks the celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary in the country and represents a milestone of innovation within the country’s manufacturing sector.

Fujinon has launched what it says are “robust, anti-shock and vibration” lenses for robotics and industrial applications.

The company says it has researched the robustness of lenses and developed a dedicated anti-shock and vibration design.

KEB America integrates MQTT into its C6 router

KEB America has added MQTT protocol to its C6 VPN Industrial Router.

KEB’s VPN Router has previously been used to provide secure remote access with data logging capabilities. Now, the Router can also be used as an IIoT gateway.

Omron launches two new barcode readers

Two brand-new barcode readers from Omron Microscan are being released to the market this month.

Omron, a manufacturer of industrial code readers and machine vision technology, will host a live webinar on February 22nd to outline the benefits and key features of the HS-360X, an ultra-rugged DPM handheld, and the MicroHawk ID-45, a new addition to the MicroHawk family that boasts new and improved lighting configurations.

Young people today. What do they know?

Not much, obviously. For example, they don’t know what a camera looks like. An actual camera, not a camera “app” on their smartphones.

It’s one of the reasons why Instagram decided to change its logo. The photo-sharing app and website previously used an attractive image of a camera, as shown below, on the left.
