Bot Auto’s driverless truck completes first hub-to-hub test run in Houston

September 16, 2025 by Sam Francis

Bot Auto, an autonomous trucking company that says it is “redefining logistics through transportation-as-a-service (TaaS)”, has successfully completed its first “humanless hub-to-hub validation run in Houston”.

The truck operated seamlessly within its defined operational domain with no one in the cab or remote assistance, navigating real-world traffic conditions. The run was executed at sunset, successfully navigating day and night operations.

Differing from a commercial launch, this milestone serves as a validation benchmark, demonstrating the maturity and safety of Bot Auto’s autonomy stack and test protocols. [Read more…] about Bot Auto’s driverless truck completes first hub-to-hub test run in Houston

Roush delivers first Kodiak Driver-equipped autonomous truck

September 12, 2025 by Sam Francis

Kodiak Robotics, a provider of AI-powered autonomous vehicle technology, and Roush Industries, a product development supplier serving the mobility, aerospace, defense, and theme park industries, say that Roush has delivered the first Kodiak Driver-equipped autonomous truck off of its production line.

The truck, which Roush upfit at its Livonia, Michigan facility with the Kodiak Driver, Kodiak’s advanced AI-powered autonomous driving system, was delivered to Atlas Energy Solutions in August 2025.

In December 2024, Atlas began taking delivery of Kodiak Driver-equipped trucks and launched driverless operations in the Permian Basin. [Read more…] about Roush delivers first Kodiak Driver-equipped autonomous truck

Kodiak Robotics integrates NXP chips into its autonomous truck technologies

August 26, 2025 by Mai Tao

Kodiak Robotics, a provider of AI-powered autonomous vehicle technology, and NXP Semiconductors have announced that Kodiak has integrated NXP’s automotive processors and in-vehicle networking interfaces to further enhance the performance, robustness, and reliability of Kodiak’s autonomous system.

NXP’s automotive solutions – the S32G3 vehicle network processor, S32K3 microcontroller, VR5510 multi-channel high-voltage power management integrated circuit (PMIC), and PF53 – are integrated in the Kodiak Actuation Control Engine (ACE), Kodiak’s custom-designed computer that manages vehicle actuation independently from the main autonomy system.

The ACE is designed to allow the Kodiak Driver, Kodiak’s AI-powered autonomous system, to run a safe fallback maneuver and bring a vehicle to a controlled stop if any safety-critical component of either the Kodiak Driver or the underlying vehicle platform fails.
