New Holland partners with Bluewhite to develop autonomous farming vehicles

New Holland, a brand of CNH, and Bluewhite, a developer of autonomous technology, have agreed a multi-phase partnership to collaborate on distribution, manufacturing, and integration of Bluewhite’s autonomous solutions for New Holland tractors in North America.

This partnership will enable New Holland tractors to operate fully autonomously in orchards, vineyards and other specialty crop operations.

Waabi raises $200 million to launch fully driverless trucks in 2025

Waabi, a company pioneering generative AI for autonomous trucks, has raised $200 million in an oversubscribed Series B round, led by Uber and Khosla Ventures. 

The funding round includes participation from best-in-class strategic investors Nvidia, Volvo Group Venture Capital, Porsche Automobil Holding, Scania Invest and Ingka Investments.

Applied EV selects CISSOID technology to drive autonomous vehicle electric motors

Applied EV, a developer of vehicle control system technologies for software-defined machines, has selected CISSOID’s new CXT-ICM3SA series of Silicon Carbide Inverter Control Modules (ICMs) to drive their latest generation of autonomous vehicle e-motors.

Dedicated to the E-mobility market, CISSOID’s software-powered SiC ICMs are augmented with onboard programmable hardware, accelerating the response time to critical events, off-loading the processor cores and enhancing functional safety.

May Mobility launches Detroit autonomous vehicle pilot

May Mobility, a developer of autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, has launched its Detroit Automated Driving Systems (ADS) pilot in partnership with the City of Detroit’s Office of Mobility Innovation (OMI) and the Michigan Mobility Collaborative (MMC).

The “Accessibili-D” service aims to improve the quality of life for Detroiters who live with disabilities or are age 62 and older.

Gideon to accelerate supply chain AI and automation in collaboration with Nvidia

Sonair claims ‘breakthrough’ 3D ultrasonic sensor for autonomous robots

Sonair, previously operating in stealth, has revealed its innovative developments in sensor technology designed to improve safety in industrial automation.

The company also announced the upcoming launch of their first evaluation kit this summer, signaling a significant advancement in the field of robotic and machine autonomy.

The Sonair 3D ultrasonic sensor allows AMRs to detect distance and direction to all objects in a 180×180 field of view, up to a five-meter range. Prime Vision provides 12 autonomous guided robots and an ASRS to retailer’s warehouse

With 134 million babies born globally in 2023, demand for baby products is high. This birth rate, combined with the rise of e-commerce, has forced suppliers to rapidly expand.

To alleviate its growing pains, Babydump, a European retailer of baby products, automated its order picking operations at its warehouse in Sint-Oedenrode in the Netherlands to increase throughput and sustainability.

For efficiently moving orders through the facility, it relies on 12 autonomous guided robots (AGRs) from Prime Vision.
