Postmates chosen as official robotic food delivery partner of the NFL

Delivery robots company Postmates has been chosen as the official on-demand food delivery partner of the National Football League this season. (See video below.)

As part of its service, Postmates has teamed up with the NFL to tackle “one of the biggest issues Americans face” – food insecurity.

Through this partnership, Postmates says it has been able to tackle hunger in all 30 cities the 32 NFL teams call home, and “even got a few friends to help along the way”.

Postmates is collaborating with athletes like Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and TB12 Foundation, and Aaron Jones. It also got to partner up with artists like Kelly Rowland, and most recently, The Weeknd.

Over the cities Postmates visited, the company made 35+ donations, totaling over 5,000 meals delivered to organizations in need like medical centers, hospitals, schools, and nonprofits.

Postmates also worked with more than 35 local restaurants and organizations like La Cocina in San Francisco, Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market in Los Angeles, Angela’s Family Restaurant in Cleveland, and The Tap in Indianapolis.

Postmates extended its thanks and gratitude to all of the local restaurants, organizations who helped make this possible. More information on Postmates’ community programs can be found at Civic Labs.
