Micropsi Industries’ AI software now compatible with Fanuc robots

December 3, 2022 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Micropsi Industries says its artificial intelligence-based software MirAI is now compatible with numerous robots produced by Fanuc, the world’s largest supplier of robotics and factory automation.

With MirAI, Fanuc customers can now add valuable hand-eye coordination to multiple Fanuc industrial and collaborative robots (cobots) to handle difficult-to-automate functions such as cable plugging and assembly.

Using AI, the MirAI controller generates robot movements directly and in real-time. Robot skills are trained, not programmed, in a few days through human demonstration, without requiring knowledge of programming or AI. How Technology is Revolutionizing the Entertainment Sector

June 23, 2022 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

The benefits of the digital age can be seen more clearly in the world of entertainment than anywhere else. Technology has gone a long way to creating media for mass consumption and a lot of profit can be found no matter where you are in the industry.

Indeed, the entertainment sector currently stands at $2.2 trillion, and is expected to reach $2.6 trillion within the next 3 years!

We see this kind of saturation across multiple entertainment platforms. More streaming services than ever before, cryptocurrency fitting itself into the social media world – but what does that mean for the world of entertainment at large? The autonomous future of industrial vehicles: Interview with John Deere business manager Jesse Haecker

January 12, 2022 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

John Deere is, by most accounts, the world’s largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery – tractors, combine harvesters and so on. According to figures published by Statista, the 185-year-old American giant generated revenues of almost $32 billion in 2020.

The next three companies on the list are, in order, Kubota ($15 billion), CNH Industrial ($11 billion), and AGCO ($9 billion). So Deere is clearly in the lead now, but one of those three companies – CNH Industrial – may be in a good position to grow its market share going forward because it launched a quite striking looking autonomous tractor a couple of years ago.

While CNH’s machine may look too futuristic for most farms, possibly leading people to believe it won’t take off any time soon, John Deere has nonetheless responded to the whole autonomous trend by launching its own driverless tractor (pictured below), which was showcased at the recent CES event.
