Robotic Process Automation in the Healthcare Industry

February 22, 2021 by Elaine

COVID-19 has had a massive impact on healthcare providers. Dire need has pushed many healthcare professionals to the limit to the point of affecting their own health.

Many have turned to intelligent automation technologies in an effort to do more with the limited resources that they have.

The pandemic highlighted and accelerated the already present need to optimize costs, decrease dependency on humans for routine and administrative tasks, and prepare for any similar future impacts.

Need for Lean Six Sigma practitioners to be conversant in RPA

December 3, 2020 by Liv

Humans are prone to exhaustion and errors when subjected to monotonous work.

Automation of such tasks will free the employees from the drudgery of repetitive tasks and they can handle more creative and strategic responsibilities in their reclaimed time.

RPA makes this possible. Organizations are trying to aggressively implement RPA in their middle and back offices. [Read more…] about Need for Lean Six Sigma practitioners to be conversant in RPA

The Robots Are Here to Stay: How Automation is Affecting Global Business

August 10, 2020 by Polly

Robots are shaking up different aspects of the modern business world. Deloitte’s 3rd Annual Robotics Survey suggested that the implementation of robotic process automation (RPA) in organisations is in the rise.

Robotic Process Automation? What Is It?

Simply known simply as RPA, it is the use of robotics systems on computers or robots to support the processing of data, and thereby, making such data processing more effective.

RPA also comes with programs that prevent the need for human hands or humans to perform rule-based tasks that are mostly repetitive. Thus, RPA also leads to very time-efficient processes. [Read more…] about The Robots Are Here to Stay: How Automation is Affecting Global Business

Robotic Process Automation Market to Gain Impetus from Blue Prism’s Digital Workforce and its Exceptionally Secured Automation

July 9, 2020 by Polly

In a world full of cutting-edge technologies and advancements, robotic process automation (RPA) plays a meaningful part in systemizing tasks of the ultra-modern businesses.

The pursuit of efficient, smarter, and superior chatbots with higher intelligence has inexplicably increased the degree of automation processes; improving conventional business at the far end of the spectrum.

Yet there are so many blurring confusions about the function of RPA. Let’s clear that first! RPA can be simply put together as a tool intended to support business processes with automation. Dos and Don’ts of Robotic Process Automation in Your Business Enterprise

September 8, 2019 by Mai Tao

Enterprises often have incompatible legacy applications that have to be manually interfaced. This involves repetitive processes that reduce the productivity of their employees.

Major replacement of these legacy apps is undesirable due to the costs and the time required for the overhaul. This is where Robotic Process Automation (RPA) fits perfectly.

According to Gartner, RPA revenue for the year 2018 reached $846 million in 2018, up by 63 percent from the previous year. In 2019, this number is expected to reach $1.3 billion. [Read more…] about Dos and Don’ts of Robotic Process Automation in Your Business Enterprise

Robotic Process Automation: How ‘software robots’ are finding their niche

November 26, 2018 by Anna

A simple introduction to a complex subject

At Robotics and Automation News, we like real robots, ones that you can see and touch, that are preferably made of metal. However, we might have been remiss in not talking about another kind, the “software robot” that sits inside your computer, watches what you are doing, and learns how to do it for you.

Software developers automate tasks by analysing them in detail, and writing programmes that carry out the task step by step, and then writing something called an Application Programming Interface (API) to link the task into an organisation’s computer system.

The drawbacks here are the usual – some tasks don’t justify the cost of designing a special software system, yet nonetheless many hours of laborious manual inputting needs doing. It is here that Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and software robots are coming into their own.  [Read more…] about Robotic Process Automation: How ‘software robots’ are finding their niche
