Industrial robot market expected to grow to $26 billion by 2033

The industrial robot market size is anticipated to surpass $5,282.40 million in 2023 and is likely to attain a valuation of $25,828.99 million by 2033. The industrial market share is projected to rise at a CAGR of 17.20 percent from 2023 to 2033.

Robotics are transforming patient care, surgical operations, and drug administration in the healthcare industry. For healthcare providers, this means better patient outcomes, fewer human mistakes, and more operational efficiency, contributing to cost savings and higher healthcare quality.

Virtual Incision’s miniaturized surgical robot en route to International Space Station

Virtual Incision, the developer of the MIRA Surgical System, says that spaceMIRA is currently in transit to the International Space Station.

The device is aboard a Northrop Grumman Cygnus cargo spacecraft carried by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

The 2024 technology demonstration mission is driven by a grant awarded from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to the University of Nebraska through the Established Program to Competitive Research (EPSCoR) program. Skyline Robotics raises $9.8 million funding to automate window cleaning

Skyline Robotics, developers of Ozmo, “the world’s first robotic-armed window cleaning robot”, has raised $9.8 million Pre-Series A-2 funding (including the conversion of SAFE Notes) round led by Standard Skyline with additional contributions from Durst Ventures, the venture capital investment arm of the Durst Organization, and HNW individuals.

To date, Skyline Robotics has raised $19.4 million. This latest round will support Ozmo’s expansion into NYC and London, grow the R&D team to bolster Ozmo’s service offerings, and formalize Skyline’s new construction line of business.

Brain Corp partners with Dane Technologies to launch new robotic retail solutions

Brain Corp, an autonomous technology company, has unveiled its BrainOS InventoryAI Suite, a retail inventory analytics solution designed to analyze inventory data captured by autonomous mobile robots running on its platform.

It also unveiled the “Dane AIR”, a purpose-built inventory scanning robot developed in collaboration with Dane Technologies.

Currently, the majority of retailers manually track in-store inventory by deploying associates to meticulously identify inconsistencies amongst tens of thousands of SKUs, looking for issues with product availability, price tags and product locations. Surgical robotics company Distalmotion to digitize operating room

Distalmotion, a developer of surgical robotics, is partnering with Proximie, a health technology platform digitizing operating rooms, to extend its Dexter robotic surgery platform globally.

The collaboration provides Distalmotion customers with access to Proximie’s healthcare platform, delivering telepresence, content management, and data driven insights.

Richtech Robotics unveils advanced AI and ‘human-like’ capabilities for robot bartender

Origami-inspired robotic plants grow with their environment

How do you deploy an environmental sensor to collect climate change readings over a prolonged period on an uninhabited island without failing? How do you power a seismic detector to operate for months in an underwater cave?

In environments that are difficult to reach because of the hazards or hardships for humans, a device behaving like a native plant could be the answer.

This is the approach taken by Suyi Li, associate professor in mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech, and Clemson professor and collaborator Ian Walker. PaintJet raises $10 million in Series A funding

PaintJet, the robotics company bringing automation to industrial painting, has raised $10 million in Series A funding to bring critical automation technology to the construction industry and address widespread labor shortages.

The latest round of funding was led by Outsiders Fund with participation from 53 Stations, Dynamo, Pathbreaker Ventures, MetaProp and VSC Ventures. This brings PaintJet’s total funding to $14.75 million.

Robotize launches its first platform autonomous mobile robot

Robotize, a provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for internal pallet transportation, has launched the GoPal P35, marking the company’s entry into the platform AMR segment. 

Anders Pjetursson, Robotize CEO and co-founder, says: “Our customers asked us to develop a platform AMR to complement their fleet of GoPal pallet AMRs.
