ATI Industrial Automation is releasing a new standard tool changing option for smaller robots.

The QC-29 Robotic Tool Changer brings the powerful and rugged technology of ATI’s Heavy Duty Tool Changers to robots in the 25-35 kg payload class.

ATI Industrial Automation introduces new robotic tool changer and storage solution

ATI Industrial Automation has developed what it says is “a new standard robotic tool changing and storage solution” – the QC-7 Robotic Tool Changer.

This lightweight yet durable tool changer offers a variety of configuration options with ATI’s Pass-Through Utility Modules and Tool Stand systems.

Aisin and QC Ware to jointly develop quantum computing capabilities

Aisin Seiki and QC Ware have agreed a research collaboration to explore the impact of quantum optimization and quantum machine learning algorithms on automotive applications.

The collaboration will utilize commercially available quantum computers from D-Wave Systems and Rigetti Computing.

Aisin is a global supplier of components and systems for the automotive industry and one of the world’s largest transmission manufacturers. Its customers represent a wide range of automotive manufacturing giants, including Toyota, Volkswagen, PSA, Volvo, and the BMW. New Scale Robotics earns UR+ certification for its components

New Scale Robotics says its NSR-PG-10-20-URe Gripper/Caliper and NSR-MTM-3-URe Multi-Tool Mount have received UR+ Certification from Universal Robots.

With this certification, UR confirms that it has tested and approved the products to work with UR e-Series collaborative robots to provide fast deployment, simple programming and reliable operation.

Universal Robots certifies ATI’s automated tool changer QC-11

ATI Industrial Automation’s QC-11 Automatic Tool Changer is a vital component of many robotic applications and is now certified to work with collaborative robots from Universal Robots.

The QC-11 enables automatic exchange of robotic end-effectors without any manual intervention. With an ATI Automatic Tool Changer, a robot can use multiple end-effectors in a single process.

Preceding the QC-11 in the UR+ program are ATI’s Axia80 Force/Torque Sensor and MC-10 Manual Tool Changer. There are more than 150 products in the UR+ portfolio featuring plug-and-play solutions for UR cobots.
