TDK Ventures ‘thrilled’ with its investment into ANYbotics

TDK Corporation, the old Japanese multinational electronics giant, says its subsidiary TDK Ventures has invested in ANYbotics, a Switzerland-based global leader in industrial inspection robotics.

TDK says it is “passionate about pushing the limits of what robots can do”, and how they can transform the way industrial facilities are operated. Their robots combine best-in-class hardware, AI, and software developments to generate reliable and speedy customer return on investment.

ANYbotics has earned the trust of hundreds of industry-leading companies worldwide, and collaborates with a notable network of tech and reseller partners. As a testament to this progress, ANYbotics has raised an additional $60 million, bringing its total funding to $130 million. Saudi Arabia invests in automated construction startup GMT Robotics

NEOM, the sustainable region taking shape in northwest Saudi Arabia, has signed a landmark investment agreement with GMT Robotics, one of Europe’s emerging innovators in advanced construction technology.

Led by NEOM’s strategic investment arm, NEOM Investment Fund (NIF), the investment will accelerate the delivery of the region’s expansive capital project program through construction robotics, while underpinning NEOM as an innovator in modern construction techniques, including automation.

Airbus Ventures invests in Eureka Robotics

Airbus Ventures has made an investment in Singapore-based Eureka Robotics.

Eureka says it will use the $10.5 million Series A funds to accelerate the development of its main products – Eureka Controller and Eureka 3D Camera, which enable system integrators and manufacturers to deploy High Accuracy-High Agility (HA-HA) applications in factories and warehouses.

ANYbotics raises additional $60 million to drive US expansion

ANYbotics, a provider of four-legged robotic inspection solutions, has raised an additional $60 million, bringing its total funding to over $130 million.

The new funding is led by Qualcomm Ventures and Supernova Invest, with participation from TDK Ventures and other new investors.

Backed by existing investors from Silicon Valley and Europe, including Walden Catalyst, NGP Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Swisscanto, and Swisscom Ventures, the funding will accelerate ANYbotics’ global scaling and recent expansion in the US to meet the growing demand for its industrial inspection robots and enhance the company’s ability to deliver exceptional services and seamless integrations worldwide. ABB completes second investment in edge-to-cloud solution provider Pratexo

ABB has completed a second strategic investment in US-based technology company Pratexo, an edge-to-cloud software and energy solutions provider.

The deepening collaboration between both organizations comes as companies continue to shift from centralized cloud to edge computing and hybrid edge-to-cloud solutions for better operational technology management.

Indian robotics startup CynLr raises $10 million Series A funding

Cybernetics Laboratory (CynLr), which describes itself as an “Indian deeptech robotics startup”, has raised $10 million in a fresh round of Series A funding led by Pavestone and Athera Venture Partners (formerly Inventus India).

This new investment brings its total funding to $15.2 million. Existing investors Speciale Invest, Infoedge (Redstart) and others also participated in this round of fundraising.

CynLr will now expand its 60-member core team to a 120-member global team. Along with expanding its research and software-development team, CynLr will be hiring business and operational leaders, marketing and sales teams across India, US and Switzerland. Third Wave Automation closes $27 million Series C funding to scale autonomous forklifts

Third Wave Automation, a provider of autonomous high-reach forklifts, has closed a $27 million Series C round led by Woven Capital, Toyota’s growth fund.

Return investors Innovation Endeavors, Norwest Venture Partners and Qualcomm Ventures joined the round, bringing total capital raised to $97 million.

The funding will enable Third Wave to scale its “Shared Autonomy Platform”, expand manufacturing of its multimode TWA Reach forklifts, and support future technology development that advances the use of autonomous forklifts in and around warehouse environments. Simbe Robotics raises $50 million in Series C funding

Simbe Robotics, a provider of store intelligence solutions, has closed a $50 million Series C equity financing round led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, with participation from Eclipse and Valo Ventures and other existing investors.

Since raising its Series B in July 2023, Simbe has achieved significant momentum and milestones such as introducing multiple capabilities and securing numerous new and expanded partnerships across various retail sectors.

The new capital, which brings the total amount raised by Simbe to over $100 million, will be used to meet surging demand for retail technology across retail verticals, expand into new product areas, and continue scaling its best-in-class solutions to retailers and brands around the world. Carbon Robotics raises $70 million Series D investment round

Carbon Robotics, a developer of AI-powered, autonomous farming vehicles and technology, has raised $70 million in Series D financing.

The financing was led by new investor BOND with participation from existing investors NVentures (Nvidia’s venture capital arm), Anthos Capital, Fuse Venture Capital, Ignition Partners, Revolution, Sozo Ventures, and Voyager Capital.

This round brings total company funding to $157 million. As part of the financing, Mood Rowghani, general partner at BOND, will join Carbon Robotics’ Board of Directors.
