Top Ten Ways AI Will Benefit Your Business

January 31, 2024 by David Edwards

In this day and age, we are seeing businesses using artificial intelligence more and more. Some of the ways that artificial intelligence is being used would have been considered to be science fiction just a few short decades ago.

AI powered tools are being applied across the globe by businesses, by individual workers and by personal individuals who are using them in their private lives. And as the AI technology is growing, it’s becoming a huge tool for companies that want to keep their competitive edge.

While we are seeing how AI is helping with content creation, we still have to impress upon you that AI is a tool and therefore still needs human generation and interaction to be realistically used. [Read more…] about Top Ten Ways AI Will Benefit Your Business

Toyota Research Institute showcases latest AI-assisted driving technology

December 27, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Last month, Toyota Research Institute (TRI) invited reporters for a deep dive into its new Accelerated Concepts program in active safety.

The international media event at Thunderhill Raceway, Willows, California, marked a first for TRI, offering journalists from the US and Europe an opportunity to ride inside its research vehicles and simulators and experience firsthand how TRI is approaching autonomy.

TRI’s Human Interactive Driving (HID) team aims their research not at self-driving robotaxis but rather at active safety, incorporating both high autonomy AND high driver engagement. This approach makes driving both safer and more fun – keeping the driver engaged and working with the car as a truly intelligent partner. Nvidia expands robotics platform to ‘meet the rise of generative AI’

October 23, 2023 by David Edwards

Powerful generative AI models and cloud-native APIs and microservices are coming to the edge, according to Nvidia

Generative AI is bringing the power of transformer models and large language models to virtually every industry. That reach now includes areas that touch edge, robotics and logistics systems: defect detection, real-time asset tracking, autonomous planning and navigation, human-robot interactions and more.

Nvidia has rolled out “major expansions” to two frameworks on the Nvidia Jetson platform for edge AI and robotics: the Nvidia Isaac ROS robotics framework has entered general availability, and the Nvidia Metropolis expansion on Jetson is coming next.

To accelerate AI application development and deployments at the edge, Nvidia has also created a Jetson Generative AI Lab for developers to use with the latest open-source generative AI models. [Read more…] about Nvidia expands robotics platform to ‘meet the rise of generative AI’

Data Annotation as the Key to Successful AI Implementation

May 3, 2023 by Mark Allinson

Today, AI is transforming every industry, from healthcare to finance, from transportation to retail.

While a successful AI strategy has the potential to revolutionize the way we live and work, it always depends on the quality of the data used to train the models.

And this is where we need data annotation. Annotating data serves the function of telling machine learning models specifically what we want them to perceive. [Read more…] about Data Annotation as the Key to Successful AI Implementation

11 Expectations in the Development of AI Transcription

July 21, 2022 by David Edwards

Does the name Audrey Hepburn ring a bell?

Way back in 1952, it was the first computer speech recognition tool. Even though the technology was groundbreaking, the software could understand only digits.

Since then, transcription software has come a long way.

Today, transcription tools use immersive technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to convert speech to text. Transcription tools can automatically record a conversation and convert that into text within a few minutes. [Read more…] about 11 Expectations in the Development of AI Transcription

On the Way to Solving the Big Data Problem in Autonomous Driving

July 21, 2022 by David Edwards

The appearance of self-driving vehicles is closely related to progress in the sphere of artificial intelligence and robotics. However, self-driving cars need more than just artificial intelligence and machine learning.

To build its route, each self-driving car sends and receives plenty of data from various sensors like GPS, sonars, radars, lidars, cameras, and so on.

Information from all these sources must be processed very quickly, almost in real-time. And the amount of data is really massive here. [Read more…] about On the Way to Solving the Big Data Problem in Autonomous Driving

4 Top AI beauty platforms

November 2, 2021 by Liv

There is little doubt that Covid-19 has changed the beauty industry. The website SuperBelle reports that while the beauty industry was predicted to grow to $571,696 million in market value by 2023, it actually dropped from $504,501 million in 2019 to $483,338 million in 2020.

“The effects of this fall have been particularly challenging in northern Italy, which produces approximately 65 percent of the world’s makeup,” states the site.

Some of the reasons for this decline have included the global lockdown and temporary suspension of in-store shopping, lack of face-to-face consultations with beauty experts, the compulsory wearing of face masks and a reduction in income. [Read more…] about 4 Top AI beauty platforms
