GreyOrange introduces new technology for RFID-driven retail operations

GreyOrange, a provider of supply chain robotics and AI technology, has introduced SoftFence, which the company describes as “a groundbreaking virtual shielding technology”.

The software is available through GreyOrange’s retail software as a service (SaaS) platform, gStore.

GreyOrange says gStore is designed to enhance store execution through real-time inventory management and intelligent tasking, and that it is “already trusted for implementing over 250 overhead RFID-enabled stores, which is a global first”. Fruitcore Robotics launches new version of its industrial robot

Fruitcore Robotics has launched its second industrial robotic arm – the HORST1000 G2. This new robot follows on from the HORST1500, which the company describes as “the first industrial robot of the new generation of digital robots”.

Yaskawa partners with Fizyr for industrial machine vision

Industrial robot maker Yaskawa and deep-learning machine vision provider Fizyr have defined a non-exclusive go-to-market strategy for Europe, with the goal to facilitate the implementation of robotic automation that relies on AI based computer vision.

The area of interest for this cooperation is warehouse logistic and its high-speed item picking, automatic parcel sorting, palletizing, depalletizing and trailer unloading of objects of varying sizes and shapes.

THG Fulfil installs Geek+ robots to ‘boost warehouse efficiency’

Red Cat and Palladyne embed AI into drones to enable autonomous operation

Palladyne AI, a developer of artificial intelligence software for robotic platforms, and Red Cat Holdings, a drone technology company, are partnering to enhance the autonomous capabilities of all Red Cat’s Teal drones using Palladyne AI’s Pilot software.

Leveraging its years of innovative development work for US Government customers, Palladyne AI is developing an artificial intelligence platform for unmanned systems to enable persistent detection, tracking, and classification of objects of interest by synthesizing multi-modal sensor fusion data in real-time.

The AI product for mobile systems, known as “Palladyne Pilot”, will facilitate shared situational awareness across multiple drones and autonomous navigation when integrated with drone autopilot systems. Palladyne Pilot is expected to be made available for all Teal drones, including those already in the field.
