GXO partners with Reflex Robotics to install humanoid robots in warehouse

GXO Logistics, a pure-play contract logistics provider, has reached a new agreement with Reflex Robotics, a startup company producing humanoid robots, to pilot Reflex’s robotics solution for deployment into live operations. This is GXO’s second Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) agreement.

The Reflex Robot is an out-of-the-box solution that reaches operational capability within 60 minutes of deployment and ramps to become fully autonomous by learning from human demonstrations over time.

The multi-purpose humanoid from Reflex can transition seamlessly between repetitive tasks, from tote transfers between other kinds of automation to product picking.

Pickommerce secures $3.4 million investment to advance robotic piece-picking technology

Pickommerce, a warehouse automation startup, has secured $3.4 million in funding to advance the development, production and marketing of its “innovative PickoBot piece-picking robot”.

Pickommerce’s technology is poised to disrupt the warehouse automation market, which is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 53.4 percent and reach nearly $9 billion by 2029, according to research firm Mordor Intelligence.

The funding round was led by IL Ventures, a fund focused on disruptive technologies for legacy industries, and includes InNegev, Fusion VC, the Israel Innovation Authority and strategic investor ZIM Ventures, the corporate venture arm of maritime shipping company ZIM Integrated Shipping Services. Wakefern food scales up Simbe Robotics’ store intelligence

As top retailers deepen technology investments to enhance business performance, Simbe, the leading provider of Store Intelligence solutions, has unveiled plans to expand its work with Wakefern Food, the largest retailer-owned supermarket cooperative in the United States.

The latest cooperative organizations to add Simbe’s technology to stores include Wakefern Member Inserra Supermarkets, which owns and operates 23 ShopRite stores, and Shop-Rite Supermarkets, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wakefern that operates 37 ShopRite stores in New York and New Jersey.

Both Inserra Supermarkets and SRS are implementing Tally’s AI-powered solution. KSP partners with Peak Technologies and Locus Robotics to install 60 robots at Minnesota site

KSP Fulfillment, a third-party logistics company, is partnering with Peak Technologies, a provider of digital supply chain and mobile workforce solutions, and Locus Robotics, a provider of autonomous mobile robot solutions for fulfillment warehouses.

KSP has deployed 60 of Locus’s autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) at its warehouse in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, with operations initiated in August 2024.

Technotrade and Briggs & Stratton provide power to agricultural robot built by Cronos

Technotrade has partnered with Briggs & Stratton to provide a power solution for the newly developed Cronos Quadro, an autonomous agricultural robot developed by a Czech startup Cronos Machines.

Cronos was founded by Technotrade as an independent research and development unit, with a mission to change the agricultural industry with the development of highly intelligent machines and robotic solutions for automated farming and grounds maintenance.

In developing its latest multi-functional autonomous machine, that helps farmers increase labour efficiency and save costs, Cronos needed to find a unique power solution that could withstand the demands of everyday farming.

Toyota makes strategic investment in Gideon

Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO), which includes Toyota Material Handling Group and Toyota Automated Logistics Group, and Gideon, have signed an investment agreement with immediate effect.

The technology company Gideon develops and offers technologies for autonomous mobile robotics (AMR) behaviour and application stack for automating specific processes in warehouse and manufacturing environments.

For TICO, this strategic partnership and investment creates possibilities to simplify automated vehicle systems through standardization, reduced deployment times and increasing flexibility, adaptability and scalability.

ForwardX selects Optiscan as strategic distributor in Scandinavia

ForwardX Robotics, Asia’s largest vision-based autonomous mobile robot solution provider, has agreed a strategic partnership with Optiscan Group and appointed the warehouse automation specialist as its official distributor in Finland and the rest of the Nordic region, sometimes collectively called Scandinavia.
