ABB and BurgerBots unveil robotic system for making burgers

ABB Robotics is serving up the future of fast food with BurgerBots – a groundbreaking new restaurant concept launched in Los Gatos, California.

Designed to deliver perfectly cooked, made-to-order burgers every time, the automated kitchen uses ABB’s IRB 360 FlexPicker and YuMi collaborative robot to assemble meals with precision and speed, while accurately monitoring stock levels and freeing staff to focus on customer experience.

Fanuc unveils first ever explosion-proof collaborative paint robot

Fanuc has launched “the world’s first ever” explosion-proof, ATEX-rated collaborative robot for industrial painting applications.

Ideal for wet spraying, dry powder coating and multiple other processes that include adhesive dispensing, the CRX-10iA/L Paint will improve the precision of paint jobs, reduce waste, increase productivity and boost safety by protecting workers from paint fumes.

Approved for use in ATEX-certified Cat. II Group 2G and 2D, the CRX-10iA/L Paint also enables human employees to work in the same painting area as the cobot without safety fences, thanks to a highly sensitive contact-stopping function. Epson unveils new SCARA robot range

Epson Robots has expanded its SCARA lineup with the new GX-C Series, powered by the RC800A controller featuring SafeSense technology.

The series includes the GX4C, GX8C, GX10C and GX20C. Built on four decades of automation expertise, including implementation in Epson’s own consumer electronics manufacturing, the GX-C Series delivers next-level performance and flexibility in a compact footprint.

Fanuc says it is unable to provide financial forecasts due to tariffs situation

The world’s largest robotics manufacturer, Fanuc, says it is unable to provide financial forecasts for the fiscal year ending in March 2026.

The company cited multiple uncertainties, particularly the impact of US tariffs and their broader implications on the global economy, as reasons for this decision.

Doosan Robotics to supply 300 collaborative robots across Southeast Asia

Doosan Robotics has signed an agreement with VRNJ, a robotic system integrator in Thailand, for the supply of 300 collaborative robots.

Under the agreement, Doosan Robotics will deliver 300 units from its four collaborative robot series – A, H, M, and P – over the next two years, with an initial order of 60 units already confirmed.

Additionally, both companies have committed to developing tailored automation solutions for manufacturing applications and expanding their presence in key Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Mitsubishi Electric launches lightweight SCARA robot series to support digital transformation in manufacturing

Mitsubishi Electric has launched a new series of SCARA robots designed to accelerate digital transformation (DX) in manufacturing, with features aimed at increasing performance, reducing maintenance needs, and simplifying system integration.

The new RH-CRH series includes two models: the RH-10CRH, which offers a payload of up to 10 kg, and the RH-20CRH, which supports heavier items up to 20 kg.

The robots feature maximum reach radii ranging from 600 mm to 1000 mm, making them suitable for applications including assembly, coating, precision conveyance, and packaging across sectors such as automotive and food production. ABB to spin off robotics division, creating standalone public company by 2026​

Swiss industrial giant ABB says it is planning to spin off its robotics division, establishing it as an independent, publicly traded company by the second quarter of 2026.

This strategic move aims to enhance focus and agility for both ABB and the new entity, provisionally named “ABB Robotics”.

Comau enters into a binding agreement to acquire Automha

Comau has signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of Automha, an Italian company operating in the warehousing and intralogistics automation industry, owned by Trasma.

The closing of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions precedent in transactions of this type, including necessary regulatory approvals, and is expected to occur in the second quarter of 2025.

Under the terms of the agreement Comau will acquire 100 percent of Automha shares, paving the way for new opportunities within the rapidly growing warehousing and logistics sector and establishing a further step toward the creation of a forward-focused Italian industrial automation hub able to innovate and compete in multiple markets.
