Nvidia launches new ‘general robotics’ developer kit for $3,500

Nvidia has launched its Nvidia Jetson AGX Thor developer kit and production modules, powerful new “robotics computers designed to power millions of robots across industries including manufacturing, logistics, transportation, healthcare, agriculture and retail”.

Early adopters include industry leaders Agility Robotics, Amazon Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Caterpillar, Figure, Hexagon, Medtronic and Meta, while 1X, John Deere, OpenAI and Physical Intelligence are evaluating Jetson Thor to advance their physical AI capabilities.

Siemens opens ‘one of Europe’s most modern train factories’ in Munich

Siemens is celebrating the opening of its expanded train factory in Munich-Allach, describing it as “one of the most modern train production facilities in Europe” and a key location in Siemens Mobility’s European service network.

How a WW2-era factory is cutting production time by 80 percent

Inside a compact production cell at Collins Aerospace’s wheel-and-brake facility in Troy, Ohio, two advanced machines now replace the five legacy machines once needed to produce aircraft wheels.

Delta Electronics unveils new collaborative robots at Automation Taipei

Delta Electronics has unveiled new smart manufacturing solutions at Automation Taipei 2025, including the Asian debut of its collaborative robots (cobots) and AI cognitive module, which enable intuitive human-robot collaboration for industries such as electronics, automotive, and logistics.

The company also demonstrated its cyber-physical integration demo line, which uses digital twin technology to cut design-to-deployment time by 20 percent.

Bosch and Cariad making automated driving ‘safer and more convenient with AI’

Bosch and Cariad are intensifying their cooperation within the Automated Driving Alliance: the partners are developing their software stack for Level 2 and 3 assisted and automated driving by making full use of artificial intelligence.

Kia launches electric vehicle production in Europe with the EV4

Kia has started series production of its new model – the five-door Kia EV4, which is the South Korean automotive manufacturer’s first fully electric vehicle to be manufactured in Europe.

The start of production follows extensive updates to Kia’s sole European manufacturing facility in Slovakia and represents a major step forward in Kia’s electrification strategy for the region.

Toyota to establish new vehicle manufacturing plant in Japan

Toyota Motor Corporation says it plans to acquire land in the Teihoucho area of Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, to establish a new vehicle manufacturing plant.

Operations at the new plant are planned to start in the early 2030s, with production models to be determined in the future.

IAB report: 9 out of 10 advertisers now using AI for video ads

AI-powered videos are ‘outperforming million-dollar ad campaigns’, according to a new report by the Internet Advertising Bureau

According to the the Internet Advertising Bureau’s 2025 Digital Video Ad Spend & Strategy Report, nearly nine in 10 advertisers are now using AI for video ads, with 40 percent of all ads expected to be AI-assisted by 2026.

The IAB is an American advertising business organization that develops industry standards, conducts research, and provides legal support for the online advertising industry.
