Stereotaxis and Acutus Medical have announced the first heart patients have been successfully treated using integrated Stereotaxis Robotic Magnetic Navigation and Acutus AcQMap systems.
The integrated technologies are cleared for use in Europe with additional regulatory clearances expected in the coming months.
The therapeutic approach used in these first patients combines high-resolution real-time cardiac imaging and mapping from Acutus’ AcQMap system with the unprecedented precision and stability of the Stereotaxis Robotic Magnetic Navigation system.

The vast majority of companies implementing automation technologies “do not understand safety requirements of collaborative robots”, according to a survey undertaken by TM Robotics.
The company asked for the opinions of automation distributors on current challenges related to robotics for its Global Robotics Report.

The chemist chain Rossmann has commissioned SSI Schaefer for a comprehensive automation project of the central warehouse of its Polish foreign subsidiary in Łódź.
In addition to the installation of tailor-made pallet and container conveyor technology, the implementation of 84 ergonomic workstation systems and the WAMAS logistics software, the contract award includes the installation of a 10-aisle automatic small parts warehouse (AKL) operated by SCHÄFER Miniload Cranes (SMC) with more than 100,000 storage bins.
Rossmann’s Polish central warehouse supplies two regional carriers and more than 1,300 Rossmann branches throughout the country.

At Eidsnes, Norway, a robot is being developed that will pick inventory goods.
“We are making robots for the grocery industry. We have created a prototype that we have started testing at H.I. Giørtz,” says Torbjørn Vestnes Krogen.
Torbjørn is the general manager of start-up company Currence Robotics AS, which is one of two companies in Møre og Romsdal that receives money from the Norwegian Research Council for companies that run research-based innovation.
