Comau, one of the biggest names in industrial automation, has signed a new deal with Robotics Benelux as one of its distributors.

Beginning this month, and based in Geldermalsen, Robotics Benelux is going to market all Comau Robotics products and services in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Until now, the region was under the sales responsibility of Comau Robotics in Germany (Cologne). Following its new growth strategy, Comau Robotics is currently building up a global network of distributors.

Northwest-Europe is the first region Comau Robotics has signed a distributor to since the start of their new sales strategy about one year ago.

Tobias Daniel, head of marketing and sales at Comau Robotics, says: “We are taking this step in order to strengthen our presence in these important export markets. Robotics Benelux will deliver first class sales and after sales care to Benelux customers. I see great potential in this partnership.”

Michiel Brink, managing director of Robotics Benelux, says he is looking forward to the cooperation. “Comau has over 40 years of experience in robotics, mainly gained in the automotive industry, where requirements for automation are extremely demanding,” says Brink. “This expertise is almost unique and offers great value for basically any industry, too. Together with the innovative products that Comau Robotics recently released, we see great opportunities in our markets.”

Comau Robotics recently introduced the modular SCARA family Rebel-S, an extended line-up of small 6-axis Racer robots and the heavy-payload collaborative AURA robots.
