Locus Robotics and Geodis celebrate ‘10 million units picked’ at US distribution facility

Locus Robotics, a warehouse automation company, working with its customer, Geodis, a global logistics provider, has surpassed 10 million units picked using Locus’s warehouse automation solution at its Carlisle, Pennsylvania, distribution center.

The companies say the milestone achievement further demonstrates the transformative impact of Locus warehouse automation technology on productivity, operational efficiency, and unmatched flexibility at an “unprecedented scale”.

Vecna Robotics closes $100 million in Series C funding

Vecna Robotics, a provider of flexible material handling automation solutions, has closed its Series C round at $100 million, with $40 million in new funding including equity and debt. This latest investment nearly doubles the company valuation from the previous round.

Tiger Global Management, Proficio Capital Partners, and IMPULSE participated in the round.

The cash infusion will be used to fund new workflow-specific innovations that enable the company to deliver rapid return on investment to cost conscious warehouse operators served by the $165 billion pallet-moving autonomy market. Locus Robotics and Geodis to introduce ‘next-generation’ warehouse robotic automation to Mexico

Locus Robotics, a provider of autonomous mobile robots for fulfillment warehouses, has completed a new implementation with Geodis, a global logistics provider, to bring “high performance, next-generation robotics automation” to Mexico to fulfill e-commerce and retail orders for a major global apparel brand.

Geodis almost doubles case picking throughput with Vecna Robotics solution

Vecna Robotics, a provider of flexible material handling automation solutions, has collaborated with Geodis, a transport and logistics company, to implement a “first-of-its-kind” autonomous mobile robot solution for case picking at Geodis’ Indianapolis campus.

Starting in late 2022, the implementation completely rethinks the human-robot interaction, reducing inefficient travel and nearly doubling workflow throughput.

Logistics giant GEODIS orders 1,000 warehouse robots from Locus Robotics

GEODIS, a global transport and logistics provider, and Locus Robotics, a maker of autonomous mobile robots for fulfillment warehouses, have reached a new expansion agreement to install a total of 1,000 LocusBots at GEODIS’ worldwide warehouse locations over the next 24 months.

This represents one of the industry’s largest AMR deals to date.

Geodis and Bastian Solutions claim world’s highest AutoStore throughput

Transport and logistics provider Geodis has partnered with Bastian Solutions to implement an AutoStore system into a new fulfillment site for a leading clothing retailer.

The $48 million material handling equipment deal will deliver the highest throughput documented of an AutoStore system globally to support the retailer’s omnichannel capabilities, including e-Commerce and its more than 1,000 stores across the United States.

AutoStore is a pioneering goods-to-person automated storage and retrieval system that is the market leader in storage density. AutoStore Bins are stacked vertically in a grid and retrieved by robots that travel on the top layer of the system, allowing the grid to be placed around columns and on mezzanines and multiple levels. Geodis implements Grenzebach AGV solutions for large warehouse operation

Over the past year, Grenzebach and Geodis, a global supply chain operator, have been engaged in a joint project setting up a Grenzebach Goods-to-Person solution for a large consumer electronics customer.

The Goods-to-Person solution has been installed at Geodis’ Nashville, Tennessee campus. It features Grenzebach L600 automated guided vehicles, mobile storage units and picking stations as well as software.

The project has been run as a pilot program, designed to make the jobs of Geodis teammates easier, safer and more productive. Following the success of the pilot program, Geodis is now introducing Grenzebach AGV solutions to additional clients. Locus Robotics raises $26 million in new investment

Supply chain automation startup Locus Robotics has raised $26 million in Series C funding.

The company says it will use the proceeds to scale production of its revolutionary multi-bot solution for warehouse fulfillment, as well as for expansion of its sales and marketing efforts, both in North America, and internationally.
