Believe it or not, almost everyone from us is leveraging advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and deep learning in our daily life. Whether it will be in the form of Siri or you are making a query through Google-like search engines. This isn’t the kind of AI we saw in Tony Stark’s inventions, this is much more than that. This AI gives the product like Watson which helps humanity by finding a cure for diseases like cancer.

The digital spaceship is fueled by technologies like artificial intelligence and big data leading us towards the automation where most of the business operations are optimized incorporating it with machines. The technology of automation is estimated to touch $190.61 billion by the end of 2025 transforming healthcare into the manufacturing sector.  [Read more…] about Artificial intelligence and automation are leading a new industrial age

Insight: ‘Auto-mate’ – why automation can be a business’s best friend

December 3, 2018 by David Edwards

Klaus Allion, managing director at ANT Telecom, explains why strengthening automation capabilities should be an automatic choice for production and manufacturing companies

Automation and the manufacturing/production industries are no strangers; they’ve been bosom buddies since the 1970s and have been quietly reshaping business for almost half a century.

Few sectors have embraced automation so much and for so long. However, the world is changing and some within the sector are being left behind.

Seismic advances in technology – from artificial intelligence and machine learning to the Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor technologies – have redefined what’s possible through automation, giving organisations renewed opportunity to transform processes, strengthen safety and increase efficiencies.  [Read more…] about Insight: ‘Auto-mate’ – why automation can be a business’s best friend

Robots are useless at these tasks that humans are good at

May 18, 2018 by Sam Francis

robots-replace-humans

Some people say robots will put millions of people out of work and even enslave and kill us all, but that’s a little bit hysterical really.

What looks realistic is that robots will continue to make working life easier and more manageable for humans.

Yes, of course, some jobs may disappear for humans because robots will do them, but hopefully, they will mostly be the dull, dirty and dangerous jobs humans would generally rather not do anyway.  [Read more…] about Robots are useless at these tasks that humans are good at

South Korea tops ‘Automation Readiness Index’

May 17, 2018 by Anna

South Korea, Germany and Singapore are the world’s top-ranked nations in their preparations for smoothly integrating intelligent automation into their economies, according to an index and report released today by ABB and The Economist Intelligence Unit.

The report “The Automation Readiness Index (ARI): Who Is Ready for the Coming Wave of Innovation?” finds that even the best-prepared countries must develop even more effective education policies and training programs, as well as place a new emphasis on continual learning over the course of a career.

Those policies and programs, the report recommends, must ensure that the rapid adoption of automation technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) will not leave people unprepared for the new, more human-oriented jobs that will be needed as robots and algorithms take on more of the routine tasks that can be and will be automated.
