How AI is Transforming Diagnostics for Faster and Precise Healthcare Solutions

September 26, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Today, the field of healthcare is facing many changes. Finding ways to increase patient satisfaction is a priority, and new trends, such as AI and robotics, have taken over.

In the same way that automation systems have impacted production and supply chains, they are now enhancing medical diagnosis.

Think about robotic appendages helping medical personnel interpret X-rays or an AI program scanning the vast amount of data to find disease trends. [Read more…] about How AI is Transforming Diagnostics for Faster and Precise Healthcare Solutions

Should You Use AI-Generated Images for Your Website?

September 25, 2024 by Mark Allinson

In the last couple of years, generative artificial intelligence has been making waves. It’s able to create unique content, images, and other media in a way never possible before.

Instead of spending thousands of dollars setting up an elaborate photo shoot, you can now use AI to create beautiful images in a matter of minutes. The question is, though, should you?

If you speak to creative professionals, AI is “borrowing” styles from existing work online. There is a wide debate about whether or not this constitutes copyright infringement or not. [Read more…] about Should You Use AI-Generated Images for Your Website?

Google Might Be the First to Put Real AI in a Robot Body

September 18, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Robot technology is moving forward, thanks to heroic efforts by Boston Dynamics and various robot vacuum companies. But it seems like a gap is opening up between what chatbots like Gemini, Claude an ChatGPT can do, and the capabilities of physical machines. The former are writing symphonies while the latter are struggling to stumble across an empty room.

Incredibly, Google engineers foresaw this problem nearly a decade ago. Boffins believed that the invention of the transformer would assist with artificial cognition and improve language models, but they didn’t think it would translate easily into physical activity.

“This problem is currently dogging the household appliance sector,” says Vacuum Wars, a company that is always looking for the best robot vacuum on the market. [Read more…] about Google Might Be the First to Put Real AI in a Robot Body

Cyngn modifies autonomous mobile robot to work outdoors

September 17, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Cyngn, a developer of autonomous vehicle technology, says its AI-powered autonomous driving solution, DriveMod, will now be able to operate in outdoor environments.

Organizations will be able to send the DriveMod Tugger on missions that go indoors and outdoors, giving facility managers even more opportunity to automate repetitive workflows and shift employees over to more interesting, higher-value tasks.

As modern warehouses and manufacturing complexes grow ever larger – many surpassing 200,000 square feet and spanning multiple buildings – the challenge of efficiently moving materials from point A to point B becomes increasingly complex. How AI is Revolutionizing Quality Control

August 28, 2024 by Mark Allinson

Quality control in manufacturing is very important. It helps ensure the components produced will meet consumer requirements and international standards. This helps in saving costs since reverse logistics can be pretty expensive in some cases.

The arrival of Artificial Intelligence is changing quality control for good. For example, AI makes possible smart quality control systems that better inspection procedures for any defects in manufactured goods.

AI relieves quality control off traditional means, often labor-intensive, time-consuming, and prone to human error.
