Nvidia to acquire Arm for $40 billion

Nvidia and SoftBank Group have reached a definitive agreement under which Nvidia will acquire Arm Limited from SBG and the SoftBank Vision Fund (together, “SoftBank”) in a transaction valued at $40 billion.

The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to Nvidia’s non-GAAP gross margin and non-GAAP earnings per share.

The combination brings together Nvidia’s leading AI computing platform with Arm’s vast ecosystem to create the premier computing company for the age of artificial intelligence, accelerating innovation while expanding into large, high-growth markets. Dover acquires industrial automation company XanTec

Dover Corporation, diversified global manufacturer and solutions provider with annual revenue of approximately $7 billion, has completed the acquisition of XanTec.

XanTec Steuerungs und EDV-Technik is a developer and supplier of automation and control solutions for industrial machinery of all types with particular focus on plastic and polymer processing machines across the globe.

XanTec now becomes part of the Maag Group, a global provider of integrated and customizable process technology solutions for the polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries within Dover’s Pumps & Process Solutions segment. ZF completes acquisition of US truck tech supplier Wabco

ZF Friedrichshafen has completed the acquisition of American commercial vehicle technology supplier Wabco, having gained approval from all required regulatory authorities.

Wabco shares, previously listed on the New York Stock Exchange, have now ceased public trading.

Dematic’s parent company Kion acquires another logistics automation company

Intralogistics technology provider Dematic says that its parent company, Kion Group, has completed the acquisition of Digital Applications International, a UK-based software company specializing in logistics automation solutions, on its behalf.

Valued at around €120 million, the transaction is Kion’s largest investment since acquiring Dematic in 2016.

Hitachi Automotive Systems has completed the acquisition of all shares in seneos.

Through this transaction, seneos, a German automotive device software developer, became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Automotive Systems.

Hitachi Automotive Systems supplies products and systems in growth areas such as electrification and is expanding its customer base of European automakers, growing sales of new products and solutions. TTTech Auto, a developer of safety software platforms for automated driving, has acquired Red Pine Software. 

TTTech Auto says it is continuing its growth strategy with this acquisition and increases its software development capacities for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) series development projects featuring its flagship product MotionWise.

Piab Group now claims to be the “global leader in ergonomic handling solutions” after its acquisition of the TAWI Group.

Piab Group entered into the agreement to acquire TAWI Group recently. TAWI is a manufacturer of smart lifting solutions with global reach.

Nidec completes acquisition of Roboteq

Nidec, believed to be the world’s leading supplier of components for industrial robots, has completed the acquisition of 90 per cent ownership of Roboteq, a US-based designer of ultra-low voltage drives.

As a result of the transaction, Roboteq became a consolidated subsidiary of Nidec.
