Dubai Police has added a Lamborghini Temerario hybrid supercar to its luxury patrol fleet, continuing the force’s practice of deploying high-performance vehicles at tourist destinations and other busy areas across the emirate.
Introduced in partnership with Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the Temerario produces 920 horsepower from an electrified powertrain combining a new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors.
The supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and joins a collection of exotic vehicles that Dubai Police uses both for public visibility and engagement with tourists and residents.
Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police, says: “Our luxury patrol fleet represents an innovative approach to policing, combining an effective security presence with community and tourist engagement.
“These vehicles help people feel safe, showcase Dubai’s positive image to visitors from around the world, and raise awareness of police services and public safety. Above all, they reinforce our commitment to being a police force that is close to the community.”
Dubai Police’s luxury patrol vehicles have become a prominent part of the emirate’s public image, with the cars typically appearing in popular tourist areas rather than serving as conventional high-speed police response vehicles.
Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman Abdulwahid, director of the Tourist Police Department at Dubai Police, says the Temerario also reflects the force’s efforts to introduce new technology and work with private-sector partners.
Abdulwahid says: “At Dubai Police, we are committed to keeping pace with global developments and adopting initiatives that reflect Dubai’s leadership and unique character.
“The addition of the Lamborghini Temerario demonstrates our continued efforts to develop our luxury patrol fleet and strengthen strategic partnerships with the private sector, contributing to a better quality of life, community happiness and an exceptional experience for Dubai’s visitors.”
The vehicles are deployed at major tourist destinations and other heavily visited locations, where members of the public can interact with police officers and learn about Dubai Police services.
The Temerario also represents Lamborghini’s latest contribution to its ongoing relationship with the force.
Martino Picotti, general manager of Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, says: “Our ongoing partnership with Dubai Police reflects the strong relationship between Lamborghini and the United Arab Emirates.
“The addition of the Temerario marks an exciting new chapter in this collaboration, bringing together Lamborghini’s passion for innovation and excellence in super sports cars with Dubai Police’s commitment to developing its services and strengthening its role in serving the community.”
The Temerario is Lamborghini’s high-performance electrified vehicle and combines its V8 combustion engine with three electric motors to deliver its 920-horsepower output.
Its addition gives Dubai Police another high-profile hybrid vehicle for its tourist patrol operations, while providing Lamborghini with one of the more conspicuous showcases possible for its latest electrified supercar.
